The SDLP would support Labour in parliament, they've had an unofficial electoral pact for ages, just as the Tories and the unionists have. If the exit poll is correct, a Tory and unionist pact is not enough to see them through until the end of the Brexit negotiations. We're going to be doing this again soon.

Yes. If the poll is right, she's toast. They stuggle on as a minority government until after the conference season and then we go again in the autumn with a new Tory leader.

Or she romps home to a huge majority and we all look like pricks.

Ten seats in, we should know the result.

May would certainly look like the prime minister with the worst political judgement. Gordon Brown's decision to duck the early election doesn't look so stupid now.
