Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Alex Scott stating she's not interested in replacing Lineker with a Sanders meme.

Joe Lycott confirming he is very much available for tomorrow's MOTD presenting duties. This is all so wonderfully British.

Must admit she was the first person I thought of when it comes to possible replacements. Ticks a lot of diversity boxes and she’s quite high profile, appears on BBC and Sky frequently and has presented before on BBC.

I think she’d definitely be in the running as an eventual replacement. No chance she would’ve accepted standing in at this point. Especially with Wrighty taking the lead on boycotting as she looks up to him massively.

Agree totally on Ian Wright. Always very fair about us, and he heaped praise on us in (what will soon be known as the first) Poch era.

The Lineker thing is ridiculous. He’s not allowed to express an opinion on social media due to it apparently showing bias. However, it’s absolutely fine for the Director General of the BBC to arrange a loan for Boris Johnson of £800,000 just before he is - entirely coincidentally - appointed to the job.
The BBC has in the last few months really become an agent of the Tory party. This happened today too: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2...c-wild-isles-episode-rightwing-backlash-fears

Whoever hosts MOTD tomorrow is getting cancelled.

Of course if it is a BBC staffer they have probably been boxed in, I expect it will be Mark Chapman, the poor bastard will have had no choice.
