He's an MP not a night club bouncer.Like every nightclub bouncer in the country does, with far more physicality, 5-6 times every night

That's not good enough. I can't buy a Tom Ford suit in £2 per week installments, so they shouldn't be able to pay back like that.same thing if a minimum wage monkey cant afford anything that goes to small claims court.
I don't want a week's worth of shopping from Asda or a pile of tracksuits. That's not suitable recompense either. Can't pay take it away?
Welcome to the Greenpeace MO.What a load of gonad*s this whole thing is.
She shouldnt have been there, she got turfed out. I dont even think it was OTT the way he handled her, he just marched her out.
The reaction is as if he went into her home, found her eating dinner and minding her business, and dragged her outside by her hair for a kicking!
She had no right to be there. She knew that. He got her out.
Now he is suspended, Labour calling for him to be fired, the press up in arms and the woman who was trespassing is being held up as a victim of circumstance.
fudging madness.
He was holding her by her neck as he marched her outside! Agree though she should not be there and wtf is security but Field is a taco and it is not his place to behave like that. Probably had a few drinks too. What a load of gonad*s this whole thing is.

No need for stupid sarcasm you seem to become a bit of a keyboard warrior when someone makes a point you disagree with. There was no threat there she didn't raise a weapon or make threats unless I am mistaken. I don't buy the whole threat flim flam. If she had been a serious threat I bet most MPs would brick themselves.
Speaking as a former police officer, I used to assess the situation and be very careful when I had to intervene physically.
I don't think it's fair to judge who he would and wouldn't have thrown out. All we know is that he threw out the one he had the opportunity to.I can bet what happened to Field. He was irritated that Green peace had interrupted the meeting which, in itself, is fair enough. But he then showed his irritation by man handling a woman half his size. If it been a 6 ft 3 brute I doubt he would have behaved in the same way. Seen his type many times.
It's not the first time you are abrupt with your posts. You're right you can say what you like, no one stops you. But in real life people tend to be more careful how they say things that they might get away with on the internet.Well I think you need to calm down mate, oh and its a free country and I'll make a point I want.
Although I'm not really sure you you're so irate and picking on me?

The really ridiculous thing is that she'd have been thrown out physically by someone anyway. Probably better for her it was a scrawny politician who is under public scrutiny than a big old bouncer, angry at his life choices who isn't.
Maybe I am a little jaded through what I have witnessed but men shouldn't be man handling women unless they are being attacked. It was something I never liked and it's easy for other men ( not you) to belittle. I am almost sure he felt tough because he'd had a few drinks and she was half his size.I don't think it's fair to judge who he would and wouldn't have thrown out. No because that would have almost certainly not happened like that. There is a difference when it comes to man handling women.Had it been a 6ft 3 brute escorted out in exactly the same fashion - would there even be a fuss today?
Aren't we supposed to consider women to be equals?Maybe I am a little jaded through what I have witnessed but men shouldn't be man handling women unless they are being attacked. Call security. There was no threat. We don't live in a world where we can behave as we please. She shouldn't be there absolutely right. But he shouldn't man handle her.You dont get to change the rules. 6'3" guy barges in, gets turned round and escorted out. Any drama? None at all. Chances are the Tory gets a commendation.
Woman? ITS AN OUTRAGE!!! SACK HIM!!! SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO BE THERE BUT SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO WHATEVER SHE PLEASES!!!
And so far as man handling a woman went, I thought he judged it well. Firm but fair, not violent, not OTT, escorted her out.
What is he supposed to have done? Got down on one knee and proposed that she leave quietly?
This article sums up my feelings on the matter pretty well:

By the way as a Police officer we used to lead people away by the arm not by the neck. I would have been disciplined for doing that.Spot on
How do you know there was no threat? Because it was a woman? You sure?
In a blur her phone was shiny - could have been a knife if seen in the periphery. She also had a bag, with a gun inside? A knife? A chemical agent?
I dont know where security were, but they clearly werent there at that moment - you honestly would shout "security!" and sit idly while she went past you unopposed and knifed the chancellor or threw acid in his face?
You are right, we dont live in a world where we can behave as we please. As that woman found out. She had no right to be in the room, nor to march through it or approach one of our leaders. She was stopped. Had she not been trying to exercise rights she does not possess, Field would not have had to make a choice about stopping her or not, would he?
