***OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Emirates Marketing Project ***

Good point.

No doubt a weakened City side, rotations and injuries. But by no means a weak City side. Ortega, McAtee and O'Reilly the only players that aren't at least semi regular starters in the league from in their starting lineup. Missing their biggest stars more than a B side for me. And we were without Son, lost VdV early etc.

Also Maddison who despite the neigh sayers has been one of our most influential players this season. Porro also left on the bench so we started without our first choice fullbacks.

Werner's final end product is questionable right now, but I think we look a better overall team when he's in it. He just stretches teams so much it leaves space for everyone else.
I said that last night. Was obvious once he went off we looked lacklustre in attack

I don't want to get all Graham Taylor and Rob Shepherd.

But I just worry. I really want us to stick with Ange. I want him to stay. I want us to back him in January. I want him to be the guy that buys the players he wants. I want him backed. Even if we continue to have stupid games like palace. I want him to be our guy we back.

I want levy out. I want him to be the fall guy this time.
Can you not just enjoy the win?

I wouldn’t say we’re a better team with him in it. He has his positives but his final delivery and finishing just isn’t anywhere near where we need it to be, certainly not as a starter.

Richy played well when he replaced him. We still created chances with Richy missing the best one of the game.

If you mean when the City player attempted to throw the ball to the keeper and Richy got there first, is that really us creating a chance? I suppose it is by means of pressure.. Annoying though, he definitely should have scored it to kill off the game.

What I saw yesterday was the joy of having two pit bulls like Solanke and Richarlison on the pitch at the same time. Some forwards when pressing are just begrudgingly through the motions because it's what they've been told to do. Whereas with those two forwards they're just relentless and have belief they can get the ball or at least scare the defender into a bad decision / rushed pass. Big Dom was fudgein knackered by the end and you can see why.

Personally I think it's been night and day in terms of the attacking threat we carry with him in the team versus when he's been out. Yes, he's fluffed many opportunities in the final third and yes we've had some bad results with him in the team but the general attacking threat has been increased with him in it. When Moore came in for him against Palace look at how blunt we looked comparatively. While he may fluff his lines he consistently roasts whoever the other team's full back is and plays right on the shoulder all game. It creates panic and stops them gaining confidence in the game as they're constantly being turned over.

I was just going to say that. A chance created by an individual through a defensive error, rather than one that came about due to good team play. Although you could argue that the whole forward line forced the error through a strong press.

But anyway, Emirates Marketing Project really must hate us these days. We're a proper bogey team for them. Just a pity we can't back it up by putting away the Crystal Palaces of this world :-(

Yes, the best chance was the one from Richy closing down. But there were also other chances, not as clear cut, both from pressing and from our play. Solanke ran himself into the ground with his pressing throughout the game. I never realised he worked so hard before joining us.

He was very good. Doesn’t change anything for me about what he is which is a squad player. If Son is fit for the weekend then he has to play IMO. I’d even consider starting Moore again tbh.
Given how he went off may be some time until he's avaliable again.

I agree that Son should start over him in the league for sure. Werner is a squad player, being used as a squad player. Useful one at that, though better if he can get a bit more confidence in front of goal.

The one he put wide against City came really close, was a decent finish all in all. Hope he's not injured, or injured for long. Particularly with Odobert still out.
