* OMT Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham *

Must win. Time to see if Porro was worth the big bucks we paid for him. Leave Emerson in behind him so he isnt exposed defensively. Give him the Kulu role with freedom to act as a right winger and create down the right with Kane, Richi and Dan the man getting forward to receive his pin point crosses ( I can dream can't I ?)

My team:

.......................The big F...............

..... . Romero........Dier.......Davies/ Lenlet ( it's a toss up)

Emerson...........PEH.....Sarr.........Danjuma

...........................Kane.......................

Porro..........................................Richi

Drop the whole out of form left side and bring in some new youth and fresh energy.

Can't be any worse than the whole woeful boring 0.5 XG we created in Milan.

COYS

.

Danjuma at LWB? Seriously? Do you actually know anything about the player? Do you remember what happened when we played Son at LWB? This would be much worse?

Perisic has been so poor recently and Sess is injured. Son can't defend. Danjuma is a left sided player. Who else would you suggest.

I’d play Ben Davies there
And Porro on the right
That way we can switch to a 4 when needed with Davies dropping into left back
The old wonky set up and we can tear up their left hand side with Kulu, porro and Romero

Not a bad shout.

Royal should start imo.

He’s been one of our better players this season.

This is an interesting point. I agree in a sense but we have to look at it game by game and in a game against West Ham we should be looking to attack, and whilst people are starting to appreciate Royal's efforts he is not the most productive RWB in a 3-4-3. West Ham are not Emirates Marketing Project, as if that ever had to written down anywhere ever....

There's a classic self preserving argument I can see developing - "Just because Bentancur and Kulu settled in quick it doesn't mean anyone else has to" but we sign players for the here and now, and we signed Porro because of his strengths which ideally will be emphasized in our system. If the system ends up getting changed in the summer and it's used as another excuse like Royal being an RB not an RWB I will no doubt go fudging nuts at the endless streams of flimflam. Both positions need to know how to cross, in tandem with a lot of the excellent traits Royal has shown (not slagging him off at all as I like the player just not the excuses).

all for bringing him on and getting his development going, but he got rinsed last week, lets win the game the first

Interesting dilemma what to do with Porro after his ErikThorstvedt debut - throw him in again to sink or swim, or hold him back and start introducing him from the bench in games that are won
I agree.... If we're three nil up with 8 minutes to go we can bring Porro on then as the game will be......

Oh no, this is Spurs we are talking about...

I think play him. With Romero behind him it should help and I’d play Davies LWB so there’s extra protection in a kind of wonky.

Harsh on Royal but it’s as much a case of rotation as anything and we need to get minutes in to Porro somehow, at home seems more sensible.

The fact that he can play on the left does not make him a wingback. Son plays on the left, why not play him as a wingback.

If you knew anything about Danjuma you would know he was often criticised by his team mates and coach for not tracking back, not sure this is the type of player that should be playing wingback.

Danjuma scored 6 goals in the CL last season, he is an attacker so why not play him as an attacker?

I'm torn on Emerson for this one. I'd probably be inclined to start Porro. With Romero behind him and in a home game, this is the sort of fixture he should have made his debut in.

I guess I'd go with Forster, Romero, Dier, Davies, Porro, Perisic, Sarr, PEH, Kane, Kulu, Richarlison.

Not an ideal place to play Richarlison but Sonny really has to be benched.

Not nearly as confident as I should be against this lot. Would take any sort of win.
