*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa FC ***

Yep. He gets stick when he doesnt, so I give Ange credit for the changes today, thought he was crazy taking off Son, but it worked.

Davies and Dragusin did a job, just need to get through the next 2 games before the break

Really?

Then how come they have more points than us?

Playing in the champions leauge?

We were better than them last season and it looks like we still are. They have a more pragmatic manager that helps them grind out some undeserved points, but I don't expect to see them in the CL next season. I think both teams are good for top 5 or 6.

We really are Jekyll and Hyde. Week to week. Who knows what you are going to get. Follow up next week is important.
We are.
But that also applies to about 14 teams in the league - it's easy to forget when we get frustrated at the crap days.
Villa and Arsenal are amazing apparently - we're 1/2 points behind them.
(And apparently Forest are third! WTF is going on there?!)

Delighted for the team and for Solanke especially. Took his chipped goal so well. Sarr was immense again. And loved that Maddison finally got a freekick goal for us. When was the last time we scored from a direct freekick? I remember Eriksen scoring one against Everton back in 2019, but surely we have scored freekicks since then?

Just a reminder that Joe Hart told BBC Radio 5 Live before kick-off that Ange Postecoglou was one of the best managers he ever worked with.

Hart said: "The game-day comes and his little tweaks at half-time were the best I have been a part of."

I think some Spurs fans are too harsh on Ange. Too quick to blame him for everything - including the players forgetting to wipe after they have had a shiite. Motivation is not just from the manager - the players have to be professional enough to want to win their personal one-on-ones and play.

If that’s Angeball, I’m in love. Absolutely fudging outstanding. Even the first half was good.

Negative stuff first. Villa were a disgrace. Timewasting from the start. Going down injured. If they’re a top club, I’m an Arsenal fan.

But us…

Radu, brilliant. Davies when he came on, really really good. Deki, brilliant. Bentancur, best player on the pitch first half. Dom, ran his socks off. Sonny, what a ball. Looked really good when he came off. Assume it was fitness. Big Dom…worked like a fudging dog and what a finish for the first.

But Sarr…wow. A complete midfield performance. If he plays like that, he’s in every week. Ran the show.

fudging proud as punch today. That was a performance.

Ange has explained that this is due to the age of the team. Consistency is something they will need to learn and develop.
