***OMT***Tottenham Hotspur FC v Woolwich Wanckers

What does Poch do now? We've seen us play a more effective game sitting back and playing on the break. Will he integrate this into his pressing game? If we could switch as the momentum of the game dictates, it could work well. The team would have to be ready and move together.

Todays performance is what id expect from small fry clubs. Im not criticisng today and my posts havent been anything critical (bar Ade) but I would never wants us to play int he manner we did today. It was relatively negative and drains the players. You really need dedicated players up front and ultimately Ade offered nothing.

Drill us relentlessly in the art of pressing as a unit. We'll need to do that regardless of whether we play a high-defensive line or drop deep and play on the break. So, for Poch, the plan going forward seems clear: keep working on the team's pressing, and weed out the weak. Try to cope with one of our star players being sold next summer, and then use the funds from that sale (if our chairman deigns to let him use said funds) to buy players who'll help him implement his plan more effectively, with said players hopefully being his first choices.

In that respect, nothing's changed, really. Today was a good point. Underlying issues, however, still need to be addressed.

Ah man - there were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many issues with that goal of theirs. Why the **** could Lamela not kick it away properly? Why did Kaboom dive to kick a ball away when he could have done it on his feet? Why the **** could Wellbeck not air kick the ball? Why the **** did we will the guy in the first instance on the left hand side run through four of five players?

Agreed, 4 men made an error, then 2 more, then another, then 2 more, then someone made an error, then we made an error, then they scored. Incredible.

I can't believe how poor Adebayor was, I really expected him to be up for it but he was his usual self, totally ineffective.

There are 27 strikers in the Prem more effective than this twunt.

A good manager will know there is only one way to go against the scum at home. Credit to Poch for setting us up in a way where we could win the game. We didn't, not because of Poch, but because we're not a fully sorted team.

We had some luck, but every credit to Poch. It was the right way to play. A manager shoudl be looking to get us winning. He's done his job.

The biggest conundrum - since last season - is our midfield. Sort that and we will see our team pull together. But who should play there?

Fergies united used to often let teams have the ball and hit them on the break. We just lacked confidence to punch back and score more. Otherwise perfect performance.

Im like a broken record with Ade today - I gave him the benefit of the doubt and realy thought he would perform but he was a c.unt today

What is the deal with yellow cards, we got 6 I think... do we just get a small fine, or some sort of sanction, or match abandoned if we get to 8 or what... can't remember.

Damn, I can't believe Judas appeared in public yet again without someone attacking him with a spatula, so strange to see him walking around in public like Harold Shipman mixed with Ian Brady but not a care in the world.

And yet there's some that feel we are lucky to have him and he's our best player.

We are lucky to have him.

In the first half his movement was good (contrary to what some on here say). The Arsenal cb's kept losing him....and if it wasn't for Mason's poor cross he surely would have scored. I will say his passing was sloppy but movement wise he was good. Second half he did nothing but that was due to the way we played (he was starved off opportunities).

care to expand on this?

Yes, edited post meant inverted wingers didn't help and Lamela was his fav, Eriksen was not on yellow and should have stayed but Poch took him off.
I don't think tactics were great, we never looked like trying to actually go for a win of play on the break, when Mason broke on the right he overtook 4 players in the middle who seemed to be happy to be goalside when **** got the ball. Hence, Mason's cross got to no one.
