***OMT***Tottenham Hotspur FC v Woolwich Wanckers

Well that felt pretty horrible, holding on like Villa or Wigan for a draw

Better result than I expected, but dear me we need to play better than that

Don't get me started on Jogger Adebayor, his "performance" was just as poor as I expected, lazy, jogging, no quality, no heart.

Well done to Mason, Rose, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Naughton, Capoue and Dier I guess... because the rest of them didn't release the pressure much at all. Maybe for 15 seconds, once.

We've won at Arsenal something like once in the last 20 odd years.

Wow Rose, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Naughton superb. Capoue superb. Everyone put in a hell of a shift. But some real wasted chances and our quality on the ball was poor. But stepping stones. I really enjoyed that because I can't remember the last time we defended like that with our backs to the wall.

Kaboul as good as he's ever been. Well done. That performance will give us some real belief in our defence

Yep. I'll admit that too. It was Kaboul's first really good performance in about 4 years.

He's good in situations where he doesn't have to think. Today he was just bombarded with crosses and through balls, so all the defending he done was instinctive. When he has time to either think or is switch off is when he looks ****

Mason did not shield. He was decent in an attacking sense but shielding? noooo he was out of position an awful lot (Capoue on the other hand was excellent).

This. The number of times I spotted Mason drifting around on the left-hand side just in front of the area while Arsenal had a 4 on 3 overload in the centre was a cause for immense concern. To his credt, he did belatedly try to clsoe down once he spotted the dangers developing, but more often than not the ball had moved in and out of his area without him getting a touch, regardless of his attempts to close down the players doing the passing. He isn't a DM. I'd give him a shot at the AM spot when Eriksen gets fagged out, since his movement when pushing forward seems good (even if his passing and decision-making still were off), but he isn't a DM.

Well we got away with a point which is great and a lot better then I expected.

But there were some SHOCKING management decisions from Poch today which urgently need addressing. Too many to list now..............im off for a cup of tea and a lie down.

Phew !

Agree!
There seems to be an obsession with systems, instead of just common sense tactics and decision making.
This inverted wingers nonsense does my head in.
Not taking off your favs even though they are on a yellow, knackered and struggling to go forward is infuriating.

Was a Sky MoM given out ???

So proud of how we defended today, all of them deserve a lot of credit, Kaboul especially although Rose/Naughton was good

I wouldve take off Ade on about 70 as he was blowing out of his ****, but im toally delighted with a point, I expected a thrashing

I was impressed with Poch today. Got us setup right. Got us defending well. Could have made a sub earlier maybe but we didn't have a lot on the bench to bring on.

care to expand on this?

Scum pretty poor though. Can't see them in the elite in the CL. Truth is they have bought the elite's rejects. And they are not that good. Better to buy players who are coming up and show promise, rather than those who have failed at the very top.

Their big signing are still good players but are not value for money.

Completely agree with this. Well happy with the result and our overall performance.

Ah man - there were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many issues with that goal of theirs. Why the **** could Lamela not kick it away properly? Why did Kaboom dive to kick a ball away when he could have done it on his feet? Why the **** could Wellbeck not air kick the ball? Why the **** did we will the guy in the first instance on the left hand side run through four of five players?

Let's criticise Poch. The first Tottenham manager to get a point at the Emirates since 2010. With a team who fought and got under the scums skin. And we walked away with our heads high. Well done Poch. COYS

Soldado doesn't especially suit games when we are defending/need someone to hold the ball up - he's more effective in games where we are on top.

We could have done with Kane on the bench. Unless he was injured, having both Lennon and Townsend on the bench instead of him was very odd.
