He kept giving the ball away and was constantly out of position.
That's quite a performance. Hoddle in commentary was saying too many chances given away, but we just played one the dominant clubs in their own country, in their own back yard, in a pretty hostile atmosphere and continued the process of giving youngsters valuable experience.
Nobody was bad, but better was that all the youngsters held their nerve, didn't look out of place and contributed. Moore is likely to overtake Werner soon playing like that tonight.
Nice for Johnson to keep the run going too. I wonder what the odds on him being our top scorer 24/25 were before the start of the season....

Happened in Poch's first season - Kane, Mason, Bentaleb, Rose, Townsend etc started running riot in the EL, then started ousting the seniors from the league team

He made a series of smart, skillful plays to break the press or start forward attacks, blocked shots well and showed incredible instincts with his positioning as he ran back to get into position. He's a diamond.

He was playing at left back and left centre half. Neither are his role, he was filling in. Cut the kid some slack, he's going to be a star for us.

Your right they ousted the old guard though
Poch had a poor record of getting it right in the UEFA because he was let down by some players and it was really seen as secondary by some way

I thought that was a very good result with that team, big plus with the performances from the youngsters. 2 wins should give us some wriggle room with selection further down the line.

The senior players were all fine but Werner missed another chance
End justifies the means I guess, had we dropped points we'd have been moaning at the selection.
However with much trickier games (on paper) left away & at home where we may have to field stronger teams this was an opportunity to rotate that we had to risk doing so

Reasonable given the amount of changes and a very patchwork defence. Rode our luck a bit, especially with them getting a goal disallowed for a paper-thin offside.
Plenty of positives, though.
