**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

My brother in law (Liverpool fan) took my nephew to his first game tonight.

I can just imagine the conversation they're having right now,

"Dad, can we go to watch Man Utd please?" :ross:

Swansea at home at the weekend for Liverpool, that wont be easy either.

Tonight's result was a massive bonus though, didnt see that coming at 8pm

Rodgers: The players gave everything into the game.

really? Some of them looked Championship standard at times
You can't fault the players, Brendan?

Don Limani: "Liverpool have 13 games left, possible 39 points for grabs. If we can grab at least 30 that would be good for us to challenge top-four!"

Abhinav Reddy: "Jordan Henderson. Unrecognizable from his first year at Liverpool. £20m well spent."

Noah a Liverpool fan on text via 81111: "Stewart Downing is starting to look every bit a £20 million player."

:ross:

:) Another cracker:

Derek a Liverpool fan on text via 81111: "Fabio Borini has his critics, but how many teams can afford to leave a player of his quality out of the starting XI?"

Errr most premier league teams perhaps?

Anfield remains a very tough place to win a football game.

Just ask Liverpool.

I'll reserve judgement on that until March 11th. They had a Spurs-type night, something like 25 shots to 5 and lose. Have a bad feeling they will get all their good luck back when we visit.

Well they are out of champs league for another season, everton can still do it but really i think it comes down to us and arsenal, sadly i think arsenal have enough experince to get them over the line.

Great RAWK comment
" West Brom will get tons of credit for this but in all honesty, they deserve absolutely none. They did nothing but defend for eighty minutes, relying on a few fantastic saves from Ben Foster before making their first attempt on goal after eighty minutes and grabbing a goal from the resulting corner. It wasn't a tactical masterclass, it pure potluck."

I pretty much agree with that. WBA were lucky and didn't play particularly well, didn't defend particularly well either.

Good result for us, Liverpool were in good form and looked like they might make a run for a top 4 finish. It's not impossible, but really improbable at this point. Them and Everton more or less out of it is great news for us.

Everton are far from out of it, I'd say. Six points not a huge gap with 12 games still left to play.
