Kabouls red has been rescinded.
Kabouls red has been rescinded.
The Football Association has confirmed that the Club's appeal against Younes Kaboul's red card during Saturday's Premier League fixture against Chelsea has been successful.
As a result, the France centre-back’s one-match ban has been rescinded and he will now be available for Sunday's North London derby against Arsenal.
So can we now also rescind Saturday's result and replay the game with eleven players from start to finish? Silly question of course, but interesting how decisions like this so frequently turn critical games in favour of the top four club we are playing, who then go on to score a hatful and leave us out of the race for CL places.@SpursOfficial: The @FA has confirmed that the Club’s appeal against Younes Kaboul's red card during Saturday's PL fixture vs Chelsea has been successful. =D>

I can't see it being successful - not the way refs are protected by the FA.
There wasn't enough contact for a foul, but there was more than enough for the FA to say the ref was right.
Too ****ing right. We may well still have lost but that's two red card/penalty decisions that royally **** on us during games.
Delighted he has been cleared and is free to play against Arsenal. Verts and Kaboul together for hopefully a nice run of games.[/QUOTE]

Interesting though. OS says 'the one match ban...' Not that it matters now, but as it was a straight red, how come it hadnt been a 3-match ban??
If they can stay injury-free they should be our CB pairing for the next 5 games. Dawson can return v Sunderland, unless he is fit enough to face Southampton
Once again, the utter incompetence of the match officials have meant that Spurs unjustly were reduced to 10 men.
High time action is taken and real-time video technology is adopted.
Don't think so mate.Gutted this has ruined two matches for us. Having said that, both games were already likely defeats at the time of happening and goal difference is so bad compared to teams around us its an irrelevance. I think Oliver and that linesman from the city game will think twice before giving big 50/50 decisions like that against us again.

He was sent off for Denying a Clear Goalscoring Opportunity (including the so-called 'professional foul' or handball on the line etc) which carries a one match ban. Receiving 2 yellow cards in the same game also carries a 1 game ban. Violent Conduct i.e. a really bad tackle like Paulinho v Liverpool carries a 3 game ban hence he only would have missed the 1 game.
The only time this would be different I think is if a player is sent off a second time in a season when they usually add an extra game
