If his under 21 sides are anything to go by, it would be a bit of a disaster.
I say again - live by the sword, die by the sword. Whatever the history of Jol's initial employment by Spurs and his subsequent relationship with Daniel Levy, the moment he held those secretive talks with Saudi Sportswashing Machine, he lost all right to justifiable moral indignation about Spurs doing similar with Ramos.
The FA would be incredibly stupid not to appoint Harry at this point, and I can't see him turning England down. I think our squad is so good that it would be an accomplishment not to finish in the top four this season, but Harry has put all my doubt to shame this season and I would hate to see him go before the summer. That said, I don't think the day will come when I'm convinced Harry is a manager we want at our club for a very long period of time, so I think others will be more downhearted than me by this.

Jol was/is a decent manager. But most of the love for him stems from the fact he is funny as hell. Under Harry we have moved well beyond the Jol era. If he goes we really need to get the next appointment right. So frustrating though, things seemingly going so well and yet all this explodes.

To be an international manager, you don't need to be a good coach. Players abilities and development are made or ruined by their clubs anyway. Rather you need to have excellent man management skills and good tactical awareness. The man management is important as you need your players to be motivated and giving 100% at just the right time before the tournament starts. Whilst the tactical knowledge will allow us to outfox better teams. Harry is not a good coach/trainer but he is a brilliant motivator and a good reactive tactictian; he does seem like the man fit for the job unfortunately for us

This. Playing utterly horrible football with some surprisingly talented youngsters. The U21 championships were fudging embarassing.
Played dire football at City as well.

bit harsh, dont forget he got them to the final aswell. whoever they appoint wont make a difference anyway as we are not good enough to win a tournament
