Anyone that can make Steven Pienaar look world class must have something about him.

How about playing him in the right position / formation for starters? Or giving him the confidence as a regular first 11 player as opposed to a bit-time bob?

Clogger of a manager. Nowhere near this club, please

Big respect for Moyes.

Wouldnt want him to manage us at all.

His playing style makes the eyes bleed and I question his ability in the transfer market at our level

How can you question his ability in the transfer market not like he has had the funds to pick and choose the players he wants. Think from what funds he has had at his disposal he has done good

Moyes would do a good job methinks, we would definitely be harder to break down but we were quite good at that in the first half of this season so maybe we need to concentrate On having an attacking style of play, but don't think Rodgers is the answer, hes only had 1 season in the premier league and not enough experience for me. He could crumble next year same as Lambert.

Top target should be Mourinho although I'm certain he will not come but we have to try, not sure who else that leaves other than Moyes. Not a lot of decent managers out there that would suit us really...

I laugh at people saying they don't want Moyes because of his football, but want Mourinho who plays exactly the same.

Moyes has never had the chance to manage a club with financial backing. Would like to see how he would do here, I think he'd be successful.

My only worry is why he doesn't manage to get his teams playing well until January every season

at least we would have better ending to a season that we are used to

I'd rather suck lemons.

I'd die a little inside

I'd rather shave my balls with a bic razor

.....

I think I'd prefer Martinez than Moyes
I have to say I rate Martinez as a manager but do you not think it would a Villa boas/ Chelsea saga all over again what with him also being a pretty young manager

We need an AVB or similar free-thinker, and be patient during the transition. No more dying dinosaurs who are stuck on a loop in the 80s

Doubt Moyes ability doing transfers ?

Well he brought in Jelavic who scores a goal a game these days it seems and got some mugs to take over his highearning, geriatric, one paced old striker.GHod, who that stupid, again ?

When he has had money to spent he hasn't generally used it that well. His two biggest signings, IIRC are Dimitar Bilyandetov (don't know how to spell his surname obviously lol) and Marouane Fellaini. The latter has been a moderate success and generally looks a decent player, but was signed for as much as Modric. who would you rather have for that money? The former was obviously a massive flop for a ?ú10 million signing, Rebrovesque IMO.

Don't mind getting in a manager who can win ugly. It's all well and good playing "the Spurs way", but it's not the most reliable and consistent brand of football now is it. Man U won a lot of matches looking positively brick earlier this season and they aren't doing too badly now.

Give me a manager who can win 1-0 when the team is having a brickhouse day with the goal coming from a set piece, thank you very much.

He has not done great when given lots of money to spend but has done pretty good at sourcing bargains, look at Tim Cahill and Seamus Coleman as examples.

I agree with Bankrupt - Moyes will get us 4th place regularly, he will make use of the resources well. He is our best bet IMHO.

The fans reaction is more to do with the abject failure in the second half of the season than the comparison with previous league positions.

Well some fans are saying that 4th and an FA Cup is still not enough, and Harry needs to go even if we get that.

So what would be our best season in 30yrs should be ended by sacking the manager, because we exceeded our expectations of a league finish earlier in the season, yet finished one place behind what we could have. And won a trophy.

Then we should replace the manager with someone who will regularly get us the position the "failed" manager got us.....twice?

This place is mental.

Look at his transfer deals, there is a very distinct line.

When he is buying for low values, say sub ?ú5m, he does brilliantly - Cahill, Arteta, Baines, Coleman....

When he is buying over that his record is patchy at best.

It's considered not enough because of the position we were in at the time. We were what, 10? points above Arsenal, secure in third place and 2-0 up at the library.

I don't think we should sack Harry, he has done a wonderful job. However this is the second season in a row in which we are faltering late on in the season. Surely Harry will have learnt from the previous season what went wrong? I'm not sure if he is learning from previous mistakes.

I agree.

But I dont get why people would be happy for Moyes to come in, and not actually improve on 4th.
