I laugh at people saying they don't want Moyes because of his football, but want Mourinho who plays exactly the same.

Moyes has never had the chance to manage a club with financial backing. Would like to see how he would do here, I think he'd be successful.

My only worry is why he doesn't manage to get his teams playing well until January every season

He really does. Solid team, hard to break down, capable of grinding out results. Mourinhos Chelsea would go 1-0 up and shut up shop and cruise to the win with defence.

With better players I can believe Moyes would play better, possession football

I dont want him but i will support him, i prefer him to harry actually as he seems to stick to one story.

Think he would give some of the refs we have had this season fudging brick.

Hope he does not bring rodwell with him as i do not like him, i think he will bring through our youngsters better if he comes, i can see him liking townsend and caulker.

has spent far too long at Everton IMO and will most likely find it hard to adapt to another club whenever he leaves - his next job will most likely end badly.

we wouldn't have the patience for him to find his feet and would end up sacking him after 18 months.

not convinced he has what it takes to play the type of football we would expect or handle a club which has money to spend in the transfer market.

he has done a great job at Everton for sure though and i do like him - just wouldn't want him here at all

I'm not sure how many stats have been posted about Mourinhos teams and how many goals they score but quite a few. I admit I'd like to see Moyes at a bigger club but not with us.

Can we have a separate thread about every single manager and player in world football, also make it a great forum to navigate around too

He didnt have enough about him to operate within the team. Modric and the like basically showed him up.

Theres not shame in it, Im not slagging him off, he just wasnt right for the side.

Everton, however, suit him perfectly

Mourinhos teams score more goals because he always has world class players, not because he plays good football

I know your not slagging him off and I wasn't insinuating that you were. IMO though he could've been better utilised in our team.

What about at Porto?

that was still one hell of a team, after Jose left it was redistributed across europe for many many millions, ferreira, carvalho, maniche, deco, carlos alberto, bosingwa, alenichev, juankauskas, mccarthy, oh, and pedro mendes

Mourinho's Chelsea team was boring because once they got to 1-0 up, it was almost impossible to break them down. So the games weren't 'exciting' as such because they weren't end to end, there was no real prospect of the opposing team coming back into it.

They played good football though, especially when they had the likes of Cole, Duff and Robben in the team.

After Brendan Rodgers, Moyes is the current favourite to be the next Spurs manager (and was the actual favourite until the recent hype around Rodgers, I believe). I think it's a valid topic of discussion, on that basis. I was surprised there wasn't already a thread on him.
