Klinsmann dismisses Spurs link. Email: "I'm v happy in my role as US manager+busy preparing for start of World Cup qualifying this summer."

Good.

I think we'd go downhill under Jurgen.

And I'd hate to see yet another Spurs legend hounded out of the Lane after failing as manager, as happened to Ossie and Glenn.

Gerry Armstrong was co-commentator on the real Madrid match this evening and was hinting that Mourinho might be Manchester bound.

Mourinho.

Because he has proved that he can do it at a variety of different clubs with different playing styles.

Guardiola really only knows one club - certainly as a manager. He won't have anything like the quality of players, most of whom have been brought up playing a specific style, anywhere else.

He could be brilliant at another club. But Jose is the safer bet.

Mighty Moyes
The role of a manager has been in the spotlight. I've already written about my dad in these pages last week, but he's not the only manager who does a terrific job.
David Moyes, the Everton manager, continues to produce remarkable results with little funding to improve his team.
He is driven, composed and tactically very smart. How long can Everton keep him

Hiddink would get my vote, experienced at the highest level, good man manager (by all accounts) and is fluent in English. I would most certainly not go for Capello, as his lack of English is a major downside for me.

Looks like Hiddink could be going to Anzhi...

Dutch coaching legend Guus Hiddink is on the verge of signing an 18-month contract with Russia's Anzhi Makhachkala that will make him one of the world's highest-paid managers, news reports said Friday.

The Sport Express daily said the 65-year-old manager will sign a deal with tycoon Suleyman Kerimov's club after joining them in Belek, Turkey, where Anzhi are currently training.

News of Hiddink's imminent arrival at the Russian big spenders was initially reported by the Dutch daily Voetbal International, which said Hiddink would also be bringing his assistants Ton Du Chatinier and Zeljko Petrovic to the club.

So Spanish media says he is looking for property.

Looking for property for his family to reside. The place of looking has no bearing on if its Chelsea as there training most of the time at Cobham, which is out of the way on the M25, I wonder what the school was his kids went too when here, was it in Mayfair... Hanover Sq possibly, also down to where his wife prefers, probably central London. I'd argue its quicker to get to Bulls Cross Enfield than it is Cobham.
