That will do wonders for his reputation:D. Suspect he already has enough money for that already.

Realistically though he is a young manager who has the pick of European clubs if he's patient. Why come to tarnish his reputation at Spurs?
Managers don’t get the pick
Look at Poch

Two ways of looking at it

- Poch is still living off his Spurs reputation
- Jose is probably the same (most people saw him on the way down)
- Conte has probably hurt his

Apparently he wants to work in the prem and be given a project and freedom to build something. All other top jobs in the PL are sewn up for the foreseeable future apart from the clown show at the chavs.

He didn’t like their setup, so if we are giving him Ralf as his dof he could view us quite differently. Would also need promise of funds and maybe Kane’s buy in too.

Jose - we are the only club he has failed to win a trophy with. That's a blemish on his record. Nagelsmann doesn't need to come here. He has already done well at Bayern and Leipzig.

That's quite a few big ifs.
Current club don't seem in a hurry to release him.
A dof who is in another job.
A player buying in. Question marks over his buy in to the past two managers
Funds not having CL will affect.

Because he may be waiting for longer than he might want for a club to be available. And let's face it, the number of clubs that I am assuming you think he would go to are really limited: PSG, Pool, Chelsea, United, City, Arse, Real, Barca. Maaaybe Dortmund, Juve, Milan, Atletico. And that's assuming that these clubs would also want him and be able to afford him. Currently only Chelsea have a vacancy and maaaybe PSG will. Chelsea is already out of the running, which leaves PSG. So the question is, is this the kind of challenge he wants? That we do not know. For all we know, he may fancy taking a club with enough resources to implement his vision, but that's not quite there yet, and take it to the next level. Much like he did with Leipzig. In that case, the two that stand out in that category are Spurs and Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Saudi Sportswashing Machine already have a manager, so that leaves Spurs.

And one thing he wouldn't do by taking the Spurs job is tarnish his reputation. If we continue finishing somewhere between 4-6, people will just say "it's Spurs." If he has us finishing in 1-3, then his reputation will only get further enhanced. So there really is no downside for him. The only question is the one I posted above: what kind of challenge does he fancy? Rangnick's comments may give us a clue, in that it looks like he may fancy a project, but no one really knows. Nevertheless, we'll find out soon enough.

Current club won't release him until he finds a new one. So that's not even an issue.

If he's as detail-oriented as it is rumored, however, he will take a good look at the squads of any team he would be joining. I know I would be studying tape and identifying which players suit my ideas, what their potential seems to be, what the best system for them is, what gaps there are and how much it may cost to fill them, how would I cover for player A or B leaving, etc etc.

So, if I am negotiating with Spurs for example, I will have a decent idea of the existing squad quality and how I could best use it, as well as what positions need strengthening. I will then discuss all this with the club when I am talking with them. That's what any serious manager interviewing for a job would do. It's not just "I have done this, this, and that, and this is my preferred system" but also "this is what I can do with what you currently have, this is what is needed to step up a level, and this is how long I think it will take." Don't forget that it's not just us that have to sell Spurs to JN; he too has to sell us on what he can do. So all of the things you listed are really non-factors, if JN has done his due diligence, thinks he can take the club forward, and the club buys into what he is pitching.

Some people keep saying he doesn’t need to take the risk of managing Spurs etc.

In his mind I reckon he views it as a given that he can transform us with the right setup and I like that confidence and belief.

We don't know what's in his mind, but I sure hope it's what you say!

I have nothing against Kompany and its no mean feat getting out the out the championship but I think this move has disaster written all over it for some reason. Having a profile within England overlapped from being a player is maybe clouding real judgement.
