Wants to leave Bayern Munich as he lost his starting position to Mario Mandžukić.

I'm hearing that he's being linked to Spurs.

Good with both feet and excellent in the air, with an uncanny knack of getting on the end of crosses, would Gómez be the perfect answer to Tottenham's attacking problems?

More to the point - can we afford him?

Said it before but it would be great if Gomez signed for us and his goals stopped Chelsea getting ECL.

There's plenty of chatter about this on Twitter.

A quick search for "Gomez Spurs" should bring-up most of it.

Nothing official mind, although if any of this were true you wouldn't expect anything anyway.

Your forgetting that its not important how many goals a striker scores :lol:

The measure of a good striker is how well he can "dove tail" (whatever that means) with Gareth Bale apparently.

Whether he can stick the ball in the back of the net is neither here nor there.

why dont we just get darren bent then? or some other high rate scoring striker irrespective of what his overall skills sets are?

He scored goals which is important but he does nothing else. He contributes less to team play than both Defoe and Darren Bent.

Let's be honest, any half decent striker that may be available will be "linked with Spurs".

Those people who complain about someone like Gomez forget that we have Ade haha. Id have Gomez, he scores goals. You can then have Villa and Bale doing all the creative brick. I want a striker to score goals and win us games. Yeah a bit more than that wouldnt go amiss then we need to be going for the Cavanis of this world which is unrealistic.
