The more interesting question is what do you do to get Lamela to fulfill his potential?
You get Poch in. Some 'real' coaching. The 'pet project'. Same language.

And what have they down what he hasn't.... They have scored goals!!!!
Lamella has 4 assists to his name and **** all goals. He has been outscored by eriksen and Chadli who okay te same role
He has 4 assist and as I said I think two of them are corners
Lennon offers width, pace a defensive cover. Defenders hate pace... But live players who run at them without releasing the ballad you can tackle them. Lamella takes 12 touches when 2 would do. I've counted it at games.
He is clueless at this level and plays on his own
He is a long long way from deserving a start. It's no coincidence that our best performance came when he wasn't playing and we had width, pace and penetration
Fine if you are going to use stats against him use the correct ones. Lamela's goal return is poor in England.
Lennon's goal and assists stats are consistently poor in a League he grew up in.
Lamela has 2 less goals in his career than Lennon in his!
Lennon has no future. Poch is building something. I dont think he cares as much about today's result as you. More concerned with building for next season.
Then he is a total fool .. if Poch thinks he will have a long term while continuing to turn out these **** results, he won't be here after summer.
Lets be clear, maybe he's the right guy, maybe he will get it right, but he ****ed up today. He took our momentum, good fan feeling and opportunity to take a lot of pressure off and ****ed it up by playing too narrow (AGAIN), with no pace and doing **** substitutions.
Was it really so ****ing hard to play the same team that played Everton? and please, stop the tired arguments, if the team ran out of gas after 60 minutes I would buy it, we just fell into the narrow, slow tempo, low motivation game, and he persisted with the most obviously tired player (Kane)
Poch will be out of a job. He is seriously trying to put square oes in round holes to make things fit
Lennon is far from perfect but we look miles better with him in as he does a job that lemella doesn't. He plays wide and takes defendera with him.
If poch persists in playing the ineffectual players and a system that does not suit the ones he has he will lose his job before he has a chance to get his own players in... It's short sighted of him
I've said it a lot. E should tweak the side bit by bit as the right ingredients become avIlable
He fell on his best side last Sunday and hasn't played it in the two games since. It's stupid, possibly naive and seems arrogant to me...
Ignoring the opposition as well.
Lennon has never done it in these type of games at home with a left sided midfielder and a left back to beat. He can't use his pace if they are defending deep waiting set up waiting for crosses.
You can't ignore the opposition.
Everton let us play. Palace didn't.
Palace let Fazio and Vertonghen have the ball and got organised.
Everton were open trying to out pass us. We won it and countered.
Compare this game to Villa, West Brom or Stoke at home.
We're struggling in these games yet everyone expects easy wins based off performances in completely different types of games.

i agree with what you are trying to say but i dont agree that everton let us play
You can't blame it on the opposition.... We have played better sides tha palace and worse ones too
The key is how we attempt to break them down normally but yesterday they were breaking us down.
Lennon is the best option on the right simply because he effects the game by creating space for others and he works hard across that side
I'd love Lamella to come good. Who woudnt?!?!? But the defending of a player who has so far been somewhere between poor and average is astounding. If we brought for £5m we would have written him off as fans. As he cost more than anyone else we have people seeing Things that judging by the fact Poch took him off too, even our coach doesn't see
I'm not say here saying Lennon is perfect but at the moment with the players we have he is the best available
You either try to work a 30 million pound player that was billed as an up and coming world talent into the team, or you don't.
Some are choosing top throw Lamela on the scrap heap. Fine. Then we turn back to the likes of Lennon and Townsend who most were calling for to be sold in the Summer and who have also come in for stinging criticism.
Maybe, just maybe Poch feels it is in the long term interests of Tottenham Hotspur to have an integrated and functioning Lamela in the team than to have a Lennon, who has constantly underwhelmed since he turned 19.
Some may call that arrogant - some might say he's being brave in the face of agitated fans and trying to stick to long term plans possibly drawn up with Levy and Baldini in the Summer.
Lennon was shiit, now he's the savior; Sherwood should've played Lamela and not taken the **** out of him in interviews: now he needs to be bombed out as he is ****ing crap and never going to make it.
Funny how much can change in a couple of months

The way people wrote off Chadli, Mason, Kane, Rose, Fazio, Walker etc you mean. Might be true that some people would have less patience with him had he cost less, but it's also true that others have less patience with him because of his big fee.
What I don't understand is why you're seemingly calling for more people to write off one of our young players that is still settling into the team.
My comment is what has he done to merit a start!??? He has done nothing of note in league games that has impacted a game (cue the 4 assists stats).
The other players you refer too turned it on very quick in comparison to Lamella
Chadli is at least scoring
Fazio looks half decent
The players who have come tbrought the ranks all have merits
Man someone actually tell me what he is good at??????
I was a massive advocate of signing him, you can see that from my earlier posts but all its shown me is how slow the italian league really is and how dog **** their defenders are
Chadli got 15 league starts (and 9 sub appearances) last season though. A decent season to settle in. He didn't turn it on in terms of scoring before this season and plenty of people wrote him off this summer (or last season) when he had a similar amount of league games to what Lamela has now.
Fazio looks good, the point was that there were people writing him off too. Like with some of the players that came through the ranks.
If you cannot think of anything he's good at at this point I really doubt I'll change your mind. What seems likely is that Poch thinks he's good at some things, wouldn't you agree?
I know this will probably fall on deaf ears, but I thought he was our second best attacking player against Chelsea (after Kane). He was poor against Palace and he's been inconsistent all season though.
The Italian league isn't great. But is it any worse than the Dutch league?
