Huddlestone

Look how many people really thought that Hudd, who has been sitting on his arse the whole season, will have come back svelte?

You just knew he was gonna come back as a fat bastard.

To be fair if that is a recent pic - he aint looking that fat but my GHod he looks like a down n out tramp. Looks a mess.

Looks like he's been entrenched in some Cypress Hill-livin'...

Seems to have become the forgotten man.

No comments or threads despite him hopefully being back in pre-season

Is he good enough to start regularly? I look at Pirlo and - taking it down a notch or few - he is the only English player that I can think about who can consistently ping those telegraph passes.

Would he fit in AVB's 4-3-3 high line though?

Not so sure...

I think he would. The high line is predominantly for the defense, not Huddlestone.

AVBs system revolves around recycling possession (great for hudd) and getting the ball out to the wings (great for hudd)

In a midfield 3 its even plausible his lack of mobility will be compensated.

I certainly think he has a future and could be like a new signing this season

Would have come in very useful this season in the many games that we seemed to run out of ideas and end up losing/drawing. Remember his impact in the Young Boys 1st leg match. Very good player to have, and will be upset if he sold/not used by the new boss.

Thudd can hit the ball so sweetly. That goal against Notlob at home a couple of seasons ago, the pearler half-volley against Emirates Marketing Project. Aaaahhh.

I aint forgotten Thudd - always in my heart. Love his passing grrrrrrrr mmmmmm

We are one and the same, i love his passing and i think he is still very important for us and has a very big role to play for us especailly in a 5 man midfield.

Also think he can be very important in european games, also if we had an england manager who actually knew football he would take a player like huddlestone to tournaments, he may not be the top performer in the brick fast paced prem but in internationals he would be very well suited, not sure why an england manager never just takes the best passers of the ball.

Huddlestone in the fitness state he showed under ramos could well be one of our best players i fear he will probably end up having a similar football life to danny murphy and leave us for a lower ranked team where he will do well when the team use him as there sole creative outlet.

I think lennons drop in form was partly due to not having huddlestone dinking the quick ball out to him. Our side seem to be obessed with always going through bale and modric rather then using lennon. Huddlestone has the football intelligence to use both sides which puts the opposition on the back foot and also means they can not mark one of the wingers out of the game.

We miss huddlestone and he is my favourite player since gazza and before that hoddle.
