Saw a stat during yesterday's game that Kane has the most shots in the PL this season, with 79 (I think, at least somewhere in the 70s).
Number two was Salah. He has 49 shots.
He also has a couple of assists in the CL but they're not included in the stats so of course it's as if they never happened.
But at any rate why should we judge him harshly on his assists count? He's a striker, his job is to put the ball in the back of the net. Or are we to demand that he passes up a scoring chance in the hope he can increase his assists count instead? Imagine it, he's about to pop the ball into the net but no he must hesitate and ask himself, 'h'mm now let me see ... who can I pass to in order to ... oh brick, the opportunities gone ... Oh well, c'est la vie.'
Seems there's no way he will ever satisfy SOME fans.

Okay so once in a while he maybe should have passed rather than shot. Although I'm frankly struggling to think of any glaring examples.According to https://www.whoscored.com/
Kane has attempted more shots from outside the area than anyone else in the PL too. At the rate he’s going, Kane will surpass last season’s tally of 110 shots (42 from outside pen area) by the New Year!
Kane: 79 shots (29 from outside penalty area) [26 off target]
Salah: 51 shots (10) [13]
Lukaku: 51 shots (9) [17]
Richarlison: 49 (11) [26]
Morata: 40 (8) [12]
Eriksen: 38 (23) [11]
Sanchez: 37 (20) [13]
Aguero: 37 (10) [13]
Choupo-Moting: 35 (9) [14)
Dele: 32 (11) [15]

Looking at those stats he misses about the same percentage (about a third) as other top strikers, the exceptions being Salah who is currently on a freakish purple streak. But overall because he shoots so often, he also scores more often.
So it's really quite simple. The more he shoots the more he scores. The more he scores the more we win.
Thank fudge for Harry!
I'm going to do the relatively unthinkable and put out a negative on the current darling of English football.
It's something i've been wondering for a while, but reckon it'll face a hellish backlash.
Our dear ol' Harry Kane has been increasingly frustrating me lately with his need to fudging shoot at almost every occasion, when it is clear there are better options!!!!!!!!! Dare i say it...he's become almost TOO greedy.
I get that greed and hunger can be a great quality in a striker. And i get that he does also get his share of assists. But i've started to think these supposed goalscoring records being banded around everywhere are going to his head!
He's now shooting when he's well off balance, offering some tame effort. He doesn't get his head up and look around him, instead unleashing a wild shot. It's beginning to affect his role with Alli, who is looking more and more like a stranger rather than the partnership we saw last season. This in turn isn't helping Alli's form or demeanour which we've all picked up on.
I'm not saying bench him or sell him of course. And it's difficult to be so callous when he's still getting goals. But i can't help but feel the team would benefit overall if he ditched some of the pot shots in favour of retaining the ball to a team mate.
Sissoko was so surprised Kane passed it put him off.He passed to Sissoko in the Leicester game rather than shooting. That went well didn't it!
Sackable offence. He passed to Sissoko in the Leicester game rather than shooting. That went well didn't it!
There is greedy and then there is the wrong choice. There is a difference.
Agree. Since September, despite being somewhat out of sorts or injured, Hatrick Harry has still maintained his remarkable goal-a-game record. But he could easily start flying again at any time and once that happens he'll not only carry us along with him but also leave the rest trailing in his wake.Salah won't keep scoring at the rate he has been. He's not even a striker/penalty taker/free kicks etc. I see one of the Emirates Marketing Project guys like Jesus/Aguero being Kane's main competitor. A hatrick of golden boots would be seriously amazing.
Congratulations Harry! I know I'm biased but richly deserved. We are so lucky and proud to have you as one of our own.
