Harry Kane MBE

How immense is this guy? Many others would have taken a few extra touches before shooting but he let the ball roll without touching to get his body position in place before slotting it.
He can become a truly GREAT striker - and he didn't cost us a penny!

Poch has taken Kane to another level - keep it going!!

How many angels can fit on the head of a pin? Where did we come from? What does infinity actually mean? Is there sentient life elsewhere in the universe? How immense is Harry Kane?

really i thought it was a fortunate finish
Yea me too. It bobbled over Cech's leg somewhat fortunately rather than lifting it over. Still will do his confidence good and remember Friedel said he was one of the best finishers he'd ever seen.

It was a bit, but earlier in the season he was striking some great shots only for keepers to make good saves or unlucky deflections, so swings and roundabouts really.

Was it? Or did Kane deliberately give the ball a slight bounce?
Good players do that - makes it a lot harder for goalkeepers to save.

Would just like to call out Kane's hold-up play yesterday which was absolutely superb. He knows when to shield it, when to hold it, when to lay it off. He also showed a real maturity near the end of the game when bringing the ball down, turning and driving towards the touchline and winning a throw-in to get us up the pitch 20 yards. Brilliant. He held off Mertesacker on several occasions with a show of strength that even a motivated Adebayor couldn't provide in the derbies in recent years. He really is the all-round package.

He did the right thing. Open up his body and place it towards the far corner. Kept his options open and could have gone for the hard shot in the near corner, something Cech obviously feared as he dived for that. If Kane saw that Cech was heading for the far corner before placing it past him on the other side it's a brilliant finish. More likely he just did his thing, opened up his body and placed it. Didn't place it as far into the corner as he could have, and I suppose that would have made it an excellent finish. It's marginal that it goes in, but I'm not sure I would consider that fortunate considering that he made the right choice and executed it well enough.

I think he did the right thing but Cech could have just as easily got his leg to it and saved. Just things like this go for you sometimes and as with earlier in the season sometimes they don't

For all those who keep screaming he's too selfish, he proved yesterday that's exactly the way he needs to be and why he's scoring so many. Alli was well clear of his marker coming in on the far post, if Kane had missed he would have been crucified for not opting for the pass.

But had he elected to pass it needed to be placed and paced exactly right and there's at least an equal chance he'd have fluffed it - passing is not his strongest suit. And even a perfect pass still needed for Alli to convert with defenders rapidly closing him down.

Stay selfish Harry!

Harry from a month ago would have taken at least one touch before hand, not taking any touches was a great call and gave him time to look up and pass it into the net

The fitness of this guy is incredible, keep saying he looms a bit tired and jaded at times but he's still putting in these performances. An absolute gem.
