Harry Kane MBE

Great finish and goal but stil looked a bit leggy for me. He has now scored 5 in 11 so all the doomsayers can do one. I think he got poor service tonight but I hope he can raise it for sunday as we need him to be on top of his game!

Looked leggy after 8 days off between games? I think that's just his body language and running style then...

He also does run a lot each game and obviously gets tired towards the end and perhaps he does end up looking a b it "leggy", but it doesn't influence how he strikes the ball and it's no different to last season.

Great to have him back scoring goals. I think he's been playing well even during his little dry spell (as I've repeatedly stated) and he's even looked fairly confident. But that finish last night showed that he's back full of confidence again. No "taking a touch", no "making sure he hits the target", no doubt, no ifs, just hammer it into the corner. That's our Harry Kane. :)

I wonder; how important is Kane's exceptional last season for the team this season? He now has a reputation of being a great goalscorer, opponents single him out, and he draws the attention of multiple defenders for most games. This creates space for others.

Would we have done differently this season if Kane was the relatively unknown, young striker he was only a year ago? Just a thought...

That's impossible to know. And frankly, who cares as long as we score goals and keep winning

All part of the development from good player to superstar...

He has to learn how to best drag defenders out of position when they give him that much attention. And we have to learn how to use that space.

The good news during his dry spell was that he was still getting chances. With his finishing ability he will keep scoring as long as he's getting decent service. Up to the rest of the players to keep providing it, and it seems like they are doing just that.

Interesting, as I thought he looked like the Kane of 10 months ago last night. Held it up well, used others well, took up good positions and capped the performance with a goal.

Taking that shot first time and burying it the way he did really reminded me of Shearer at his best.

Where you standing next to me in the park lane!!!

I said it as soon as he hit it, that was an Alan shearer strike, especially the way he striking foot curled around the standing foot

I wish I had been! Sadly it has been way too many years since I've been at a game due to living in a different country.

Mark of a good striker, let the ball go past him (vs. trying to stop and settle it), knew exactly where he wanted to put it .. goal

The pressure is off and he is back to his more natural self (who scores goals)

I'm not sure people understand how important, what he would be worth to this club if he actually repeats last season's achievements

I was starting my celebrations before he actually struck it :) It was one of those that was just always going in.

He strikes the ball so well, and back to always finding his balance before striking the ball like last season he looks sublime. Not the most popular name, and a very high bar, but he reminds me a bit of van Persie in how he strikes the ball so cleanly just about every time.

I agree. It's almost like he's still a bit of a cult-hero, although he's moving more towards superstardom week by week.

amazing what confidence does, he looks like he's enjoying his football again, so naturally the goals are flowing now.Good to have him back

Back to the Kane that you have no doubt he will bury it ..

Worked his ass off, helped hold up the ball when we were under pressure at end as well.
