Congrats Gareth and lucky you for having a girl!

Perhaps being a father will improve his game further? He's always been a good boy but maybe this will make him keep his feet on the ground.

There was a massive rumour flying around before he signed his new contract that one of the main reasons he was sticking around was because his girlfriend became pregnant and he didn't want to go abroad...

my little girl was born on the monday, we'd been in the unit since saturday lunchtime though, sometimes it takes ages

also, what you never hear mentioned is how hard it is on the father, i was stood up pretty much the whole time, at least the missus could lie down

I'm sure it will give him a new perspective in life - and maybe he'll be more relaxed when it comes to the importance of football, which in turn will make him a better footballer? I believe it's good for footballers to have something worthwhile on their minds, not just partying, girls and video games (not that I mind any of those). Will be interesting to see. He should definitely be a happy man though.

Lets just hope he forces his girlfriend to stay up with the little one during the night, so that he gets enough sleep and is rested for games.

Now watch him leave for madrid to triple wages to feed another mouth, and 'winning trophies' with his bestest mate, modders ! I really hope we get CL otherwise all the top players will leave, and sooner rather than later

Ha. I was just about to say this. I have a 4 week old girl and I'm bloody shattered.

(Edit: but still find time to waste on here when I should be working ;) )
