Eric Dier

Is it "doesn't want to move"? Or "wants best possible move"?

He most likely does but beggars can’t be choosers. I doubt Winks wanted to be playing in the championship for Leicester but he was never going to be a regular starter for us going forward. Dier has even played in another country before so that shouldn’t phase him.

What does he have to beg for? He's on £100k a week. He can sit and wait till jan then sign for someone else for a free.

Sacrificing a seasons worth of playing time in the process. It’s his decision at the end of the day but I’d have thought most players would prefer first team football.

Decisions that will ultimately harm long term. Not that I know what Tangs situation is, you would think he would wanna find a club that he can call home soon. Another year and his career could take an absolute bath

Just married, seems to live a pretty great life on his farm with his new wife and dog. A move likely spoils that, at least for the time being. I can understand a little less ambition in your professional life when your personal life is (seemingly) very pleasant. Especially with a footballer’s money and his life after football all but set up with his app and business ideas.

Rumours of Fulham. Up to him.

That would be a good move. Maybe he's looking for something more than Fulham (and contradicting what I said above)?
If he's smart, it's the perfect move. He won't get much higher at the moment, and it'd be a great platform to excel at. He'd improve them.

It's a contract so he doesn't have to break it. Just like Ndombele. No hard feelings to both. Hopefully they are sure they can get some football otherwise it's hard to see them getting better offers with that attitude.

Fulham will go down this season. West Ham (the Maguire earmarked money/position) is probably the smart move for him.

I don't think it will take Dier long to lose his career football earnings implementing his business ideas ;)

4 months. Then sign a precontract on a free. Or the club are under pressure to cash in. All the while he is pocketing £100k a week.
He'll only be able to agree a pre-contract with an overseas team in January. He is very unlikely to have interest from the few clubs in Europe that pay a higher wage than THFC so he either accepts a (likely) low value contract in January or he dares to wait it out the end of the season, hoping to get a PL club then. If he does that having not played a single competitive game of football for a year then I can't see him getting any decent offers. Even now he could probably only move to a Fulham type level club. Who would want him at his age having had no football for a year?

They don't need to pay a higher wage than tottenham. They just have to be able to pay a higher wage than what he is being offered now. As he'll be on a free, it's not that mjch of a stretch to think he could earn more.
