Not a starter, but he will prove your cynicism wrong IMO...

Would love you to be right (on both counts). I just fear you won’t be....is the wrong answer.

Loads to be positive about tonight's performance and you immediately look to come in with something negative, no surprise really...So, uh...can I assume he did himself no favors with that performance today?
Funny thing is you could say that about almost any game he's played in the last five years and have it be true, but specifically, the friendly today.

I was talking about the overall team performance. For Dier and the whole defence, they were actually good on the ball and showed they can pass it out under pressure. What was positive about Diers performance?
Sanchez is the better defender imo. He's had more good games at CB and longer stretches of being decent. They are both prone to mental collapses, Sanchez just wears his on his sleeve. Ideally, neither should stay but if one had to I'd go for Sanchez, it's not as if Dier is HG.If we need to keep someone as backup to Romero it should be Sanchez. At least he has pace to recover some situations. Dier should just have his access to the training ground removed.
FIFYDear GHod the trolls are out. Predictable.

said this before, i'd keep Sanchez ahead of Dier. Not saying Sanchez SHOULD be kept, but i'd put him in front of Dier without question.
Think he was better in midfield, the best we have got from him to be fair. It's been up and down since he moved back to CB.
Not gonna go too hard on him as just feels like kicking someone when they’re down at this point. As I’ve said before, he needs a move. It’s admirable that he wants to stay and fight for his place but someone at the club or someone from his inner circle or entourage needs to sit him down and inject some reality into the situation and tell him he needs a fresh start. He’s in a similar situation to Maguire at United.
