I think it will be Stambouli and Bentaleb as Poch wants more mobility in that specific area and Capoue isn't that!
I wouldn't be against trying that but I think that Bentaleb will find himself as backup to Stambouli, at least for the moment.

Capoue was getting a lot of praise after the first two league games - one game later and it seems he's being written off.
I find it strange too. Given the stop start nature of his first season, he deserves a chance to establish himself as much as any of the other players.

Yes GHod only knows why. He was decent but didn't do anything to warrant the praise some was giving him. In fact against Spammers he was out of position countless times but i was reluctant to mention it as i felt a few would just state how negative i am etc etc.

Against Pool he was shocking and gave a paulinho like performance ...ie allowing your partner to do all the work whilst you do absolutely nothing. I felt for Benteleb that game.

Everyone seemed to be in unison over the summer - 'forget' about top 4 and focus on letting the manager build the team - in order to do that we need to have patience, not just with the manager but with the players also - unfortunatley i have my doubts as to whether we as a fanbase have it in us to be patient.

I agree. We have threads about character but the first place I think that we should look is the fan base. Too often people have got carried away after a good result or despondent after a disappointing one but after each they lose sight of the target.

That's it. There is absolute no perspective. It's not just a Spurs thing. You look at the way the deadline is managed. Fans camping out all afternoon to listen to a bloke read out reports of deals. There's a real sick requirement of instant gratification in the world these days. I find it all very, very bizarre.

I thought it was kids just wanting to be on tele personally.

I agree with the guys above.

We have a good set-up but it's only one transfer window with the new manager . He's addressing our defensive issues , something most are happy about and is looking to give the forward players a chance to express themselves.

I hate losing games and losing favourite players just as much as anyone, but I do think we could be onto something here with this Poch guy so let's not stink the place out ( WHL ) and instead, let's show some proper support to the manager , coaches and players .

Against West Ham he slotted back into the defence (and admittedly did pretty well)

Against QPR he had no defending to do at all and about two minutes of time every time he got the ball. Most of us could've looked decent in his role that day.

Against Liverpool as soon as we were up against a team that wanted to attack us he looked like what he is - a big, clumsy, slow, immobile player who plays almost as a libero style sweeper so it is easy for him to pick up the ball and then pass it a few yards (usually sideways).

I think that we need to see Poch's system in place and established before we draw too many conclusions about individual players. A team pressing style is going to take a while to bed in and defensive players are at risk of looking weak against good opposition until it does.

I think what Sandro has received in terms of recognition from the club via the official site is nothing short of diabolical. I know there is a few hours left in the day but fook me, he deserves a little more than a coupe of lines.

A few words from Levy wouldn't go amiss either.

Don't really agree. Sandro was loved but he wasn't really here long enough to deserve the type of send-off Dawson got. It's a shame because he was obviously a big character but someone like Dawson deserves it above Sandro, as much as I loved the guy.

He barely played for us. Lennon, Kaboul and even Ade will have done more for the club by the time they leave. That's right, Adebayor has already made the same number of appearances as Sandro.

Not saying he should get the same send off.. at least a recognition of some sort. He deserves more than what was albeit a couple of lines to say that he has gone and wishing him well.

They don't put enough content on the site as it is..

You know.. showing a bit of class and thanking him would be a start, acknowledge in that he was a fan favourite. Its a fcuking cold world we live in. And lol at the 'wish you best of luck' ... now there's the door message.. fcuk me!
