I have to say I'm actually looking a bit forward to the Europa League this season, seeing as we're going to try to win it. Will be fun, I think. :)

I was going to come off autopay and bouycott the EL with how Harry treated, now AVB wants to win it, ill be going to the games

We was also thinking of doing the same - i try not to miss any competitive football at home but i wasn't happy with the Uefa Cup turnout last season - i could get on board with playing a youthful side if there is some logic/direction behind the team selection but imo we just chucked out any old team of players and had little desire to advance.

Hopefully we'll take it a bit more seriously this season, i don't expect it to be prioritsed over the league - but i want to see us treat it with respect because thats what i do as a supporter

ROBBIE KEANE is backing Andre Villas-Boas to lead Tottenham to greatness this season.

The former Spurs stri-ker gave his old club’s new boss his blessing after playing against them for LA Galaxy.

Keano, who skippered the MLS outfit to a 1-1 draw yesterday, said: “I have spoken to some of the Tottenham players.

“They are training really hard but they are also really liking it.

“Harry Redknapp did a tremendous job but for whatever reason he left and now in Andre they have a top, top boss.

“It didn’t go too well for him at Chelsea but I’ve spoken to a lot of players who have worked with him and the guy’s training sessions, his attention to detail, are second to none.

“I’m sure the guy will do a great job. He certainly has the players to do that. I spoke with him before the game and told him the players and staff are 100 per cent behind him.

“He’s at a great club with great owners who will look after him.”

Robbie's being a bit cheeky looking for a loan move back to Spurs. We are the club he supported as a child mind you.

Keano wants to come back

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

a corner stat for some of ya

18 - Emirates Marketing Project scored from every 18th corner on average in the PL last season, the best rate in the competition (average: 1/33). Routine

Corners and freekicks are overrated as goalscoring opportunities. Would like to see a stat on how often teams concede from corners though.

Gotta love the Sun  ](*,)

ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS has had a dig at his former Chelsea stars — insisting that Tottenham’s players are better to work with.

AVB was sacked as Blues boss last season after just 256 days in charge.

It was claimed he was forced out by Chelsea’s senior pros.

The Portuguese coach took over at Spurs this month and the club are on a pre-season tour of the United States.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s clash with Liverpool in Baltimore, he said: “We have seen the spirit of this group and it is different from what I had last year.”

At some point he is going to have to learn not to play into the media's hands and stop answering these questions about his former employment.

they are making him look like a bit of a jilted lover with sour grapes i think.
