Andre Villas-Boas - Head Coach

After which he'll hitch his skirt for a Man Utd, Barcelona, Real Madrid job?

Real long-term strategy there from Daniel Levy; prove you're better than Chelsea, then get picked-off.

I hate to say this mate, but until such time as we can compete financially, this will always be the lot of those teams who are not considered in the media and world football to be "big" clubs.

In 40+ years of not seeing my team win a league title, I have learned to manage my expectations and it would be better for all of us if we did the same?

So he's capable of that is he?

I thought he was useless?

Can you summarise your thoughts please, you're sounding bi-polar now.

This is fun......you can run but you can't hide.

I'll join the dots up for you shall I?

You just said AVB being fired is indictive of the fact he was failure at Chelsea.

Mourinho was fired by that same dysfunctional club but he's the best manager in world football by most reasonable measures and current CV.

So you don't have a point at all, it's completely negated and ruined.

Are you saying Di Matteo masterminded that win and lady luch wasn't 99% of it?

Shows how desperate you are.

A job awaits on Talkbrick!! Durham would be proud.

AVB was fired as his disasterous man-management 'skills' turned the entire dressing room on him and he was fired for seriously brick results.

Mourinho was fired after trying to renegotiate his contract with Roman Abramovitch and Roman thought he was showing disrespect.

Di Matteo lead an INSTANT up-turn in results after he took over from AVB, and went on to win the Champions League. As for luck? fudge me mate, Barcelona away and Bayern in the final - with respect, it takes more than simply luck to do that. Credit where it's due, for goodness sake.

Eh, fudge it. If he proves he was a decent manager, he'll get us into the top four for 2-3 seasons, if he goes we'll be a bigger club for having had him.

Win win relationship.

No, read the sentence properly.

I said the manager would get his ass fired if he wasn't bringing in the benjamins.

Quote - Levy isn't running some charitable organisation; he needs the big benjamins to pay the bills and grow the brand and if the manager ain't doing the right brick then his ass WILL be fired.

Now to be fair that could read his as in Levy....but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt.....since you're struggling tonight! :)

Leeds you didn't just say you'd accept 17th without Redknapp? Did you?

Whilst people are just throwing drivel out there I thought I'd join in!! :)

Nah.......I don't want Harry at the club.......I want top 6 if i'm honest, mainly playing good football and competing / winning big derbies and matches against the teams around us.

He's capable of bring the best and he's capable of being the worst.

So far, he's shown he's capable of being amazing at Porto, and fudging dire at Chelsea.

You've said his motivation will be to disprove his Chelsea 'performance'. Okay, so he doesn't give a brick about Spurs either then. You got all steamed up about Harry Redknapp 'hitching his skirt' for England, yet that's exactly what AVB will be doing should he disprove his Chelsea disaster.

So, what do YOU want? I think you need to make your mind up on that, or else you'll be blowing your top again once Andre talks about how much of an honour it would be to manage Real Madrid, Barcelona, et al...

Hitching his skirt his fine. Just don't expect the club to show him any loyalty if he's not going to show it to the club.

Simples.

So you're excusing Chelsea as it was disrespect? But Harry does the same at Spurs but it's cool?

Sorry to break this to you but AVB was 5th in the league when he left......where did Chelsea finish?

Doh!!!!

Not my problem you can't read that properly. You jumped in too quick, and mugged yourself off on that one.

I mean, seriously, who the fudge is going to fire the Chairman; the guy who part owns the fudging business???

fudge sake, try thinking before you post sometimes.

If Harry was being admired by Madrid ( :) ) then I would wish him well.

The England situation is completely diifferent.....to be honest, I wouldn't have minded if our season hadn't have fallen off a cliff, which it did.

That's the unforgivable thing for me.....he thought the job was his, stopped takimg training, completely zoned out and he suffered because of it, an unforgivable lapse.

If AVB comes in and finished 2/3rd and has Madrid sniffing around...happy days...

So AVB is capable of being amazing at Porto.......so why WOULDN'T he be amazing at Spurs then?

Of course...

Nothing at all to do with you no more understanding the concept of analogy than you do the concept of hypothesis? Not really. ;)

jimmy I honestly haven't read it, so don't understand the winks or whatever subtle nonsense you're trying to convey.

I might read it tomorrow and reply, or PM me with it if you really want me to acknowledge it.
