He's been pretty good at delaying cases to be fair. This is largely to do with friendly judges running interference for him. He's not off the hook though for some very serious crimes, and so he sees regaining the presidency as his only way to stay out of jail. And he'd be right about that.

I have seen a few videos of her talking and saw her stuttering and not give answers, thought Christ we have gone from Obama to Trump to this. Obama, intelligent and good talker.
If someone has a different opinion to you they are on a "fishing" trip?
Must have everyone hold the same view as you on every subject?
As I said if I were an American I would be voting for her.
I believe that for mature politics and conversations to win through people should be able to be critical or anyone.
I voted Labour, shall not really be criticising them for a couple of years as I don't see the issues we face as their fault.
But in a couple of years I will be critical of them if I think they deserve it. Hate in politics how supporters will cheer and defend their person regardless.
I look for the least worse option and choose them.

You patronized her and called her 'dim'. I genuinely don't think anyone would seriously call someone of her pedigree and with her CV 'dim' or patronize her.
I asked you to qualify your 'dim' comment and I personally did not think you did, and I don't think furthering your thioughts by saying you think you're more intelligent than Trump or Harris helped your cause.
It's not about liking her, it's simply recognizing you don't get there by being 'dim'. I am careful never to call Trump 'stupid' because frankly, he isn't. He's maintained his push despite being unhinged; that takes something. I think he's nuts and actually quite evil, but stupid? Nah.
Of course we should not all hold the same opinions.

I said I saw her interviews in an earlier post where she stumbled over her words and could not answer questions.
I believe the clips are probably online. She seems dim to me.
Seems the standard of capabilities of presidential candidates is decreasing, I am basing that on some of her interviews.
Dont think achieving high office is a show of intelligence. The are quite a few Conservative ex cabinet ministers who I thought were thick.
Met Jeffery Archer at a do I went to with my first wife and he was definitely thick. In my opinion.

No, he’s an imbecile, his father left him a massive fortune which he turned into an insignificant one, had he spent his entire life on Miami Beach sipping roostertails he’d have ten times as much as he does now.
He’s a terrible business person and most of his investments have gone to brick.
Apparently everything he has owned has lost money, even a casino - so, imo, no he is thick as brick.
But, he has the gift of the gab and sell's himself well enough for people to buy into his flimflam - and I'd love to say it is just the Yank's, but he has gotten money from every bugger. Not to mention all the grifts he does.
Maybe in the younger years he was more believable, but nowadays it beggar's belief.

I agree that high office is not in and of itself a measure of intelligence. What the scale of definition is for intelligence varies I suppose. Needless to say some of the most intelligent people I know do not have degrees.
I do, however, think it is impossible to gain high political office and maintain said-position if you're dim/thick. It takes a degree of intelligence to even pick the right people to carry you through.
I agree that Obama was exceptional in that regard, and even though I think Clinton has some big questions to answer I'd place him firmly in that bracket to.

Personally I think you're making the mistake of applying the fact he is a total clam to this question.
Let me put it like this. How can such a bricky businessman with the morals of a rancid hyena carcass have manipulated a political system to have elected him to President, then used that situation to manipulate the justice system into an additional wing of (right-wing only) government, encouraged a full insurrection of the Capitol Building, been proven guilty of multiple charges yet remained free on various appeals, and still be somehow neck and neck in the current Presidential race? I think he's a despicable clam but I cannot, in all fair conscience, call him thick, dim or stupid.

Great article on this in this week’s New European which argues that he’ll either win, and therefore not go to jail, or will cut a deal afterwards to sail off into the sunset and not stir up s hit so that he can avoid time inside.
