Alex Pritchard

Pritchard has barely kicked a ball in anger for the first team. Yet I don't think I remember a youth player who's excited Spurs fans more. Maybe Marcus Edwards will - and that's the point, we need room for the likes of him. Pritchard is what 5 years older than Edwards! Poch and the coaches have seen these players training week in and out, and of course have an insight we don't.

I couldn't pass any sort of judgment personally as I've hardly seen Pritchard play!

Remember when Barcelona were tapping up Pritchard and Coulthirst after the pair tore apart their youth team!

Mickey Hazard deserves a mention, talented and great to watch but mostly had to play second fiddle to Glennda, never quite fulfilled his promise

He was a very good player and on his day as good as anyone except Hoddle ( which was a problem for him), but he did play over 100 lge games for us and was a member of our cup winning sides. His biggest problem ( apart from Hoddle) was he seemed to run out of stamina towards the end of games ( the joke was he loved the mars bars).

He could also take a very good free kick.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have not made a move for Tottenham playmaker Alex Pritchard, according to a reliable journalist.

The Mirror claimed that Pritchard was high on the shortlist of Championship big boys Leeds and Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

However, the Chronicle chief sports writer Lee Ryder has revealed on his personal Twitter account that the Magpies are yet to make a move for the Spurs man, meaning that Leeds could get in there ahead of the St James’ Park club.

Reliable Leeds journalist Joe Rawson confirmed the Whites had also been linked with the Tottenham playmaker with Rawson revealing the contents of his text exchange with Leeds owner Massimo Cellino on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night.

Whites manager Garry Monk is stepping up his Elland Road overhaul as he looks to return the Yorkshire giants to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

He has welcomed six new recruits this summer and continues to be linked with multiple targets.

The Independent report that Spurs are holding out for £9million for Pritchard, although loan deals currently seem more likely with no one willing to meet the valuations yet.

The youngster, who operates in the number 10 role but can also play out wide, has three years remaining on his current Spurs deal. He made a name for himself during a loan spell at Brentford in the 2014-15 season, where he scored 12 times.

The 23-year-old playmaker spent the second half of last season on-loan at West Brom, but failed to make a single start for the Baggies, managing just two Premier League sub appearances.

The England under-21 international has appeared just twice for Spurs, and has also spent time on loan at both Swindon and Peterborough.

Most disappointing news of the summer. Thought this lad was going to be a big player for us, but the powers-that-be have seen something we dont.

The thing with this current regime that I have never experienced before is that regardless of how highly we personally rate a player if the management team want to get rid of us fans still show an acceptance and confidence that they are doing the right thing. The trust in judgement of our coaches and talent recruitment teams is at a level Ive never seen before.....

It's because we as fans are entering an era of optimism whilst recognising the needs for stability

We have never had stability but can see the light at he end of the tunnel now and after the season we have just had were on that high

We have to ratain that view when we have a blip and remain positive... Seeing how we knee jerk one result I can't see it happening enough but I'd gladly be wrong on that one

From what I've observed, Poch seems to have perfected the art of teambuilding as well as anyone since Rinus Michels

Can definitely see him moving there. And they're paying big fees at the moment so might meet Levy's £9m asking price. Shame to see him leave but Poch knows best

Would be a good move for him and Palace.

Palace have always been my second team, so it would be great to see him, Andros, and maybe even Bentaleb (£30m double deal for Pritch and Bents?), lining-up for them.

It would be a fudging terrible move to go and play for that clown Pardew. Relegation on the cards for Palace this season.
