Hoping to see Bissouma start next to PEH next week, Conte has a squad now so he has to make tough decisions.
Mostly based on current form but it's not like I get to watch the players every day in training. My opinion might have been different 6 months ago but Hobjerg has improved since Bentancur's arrival. If Skipp were fit, I would even be tempted to let him start a few intermittent games early on in the season.Interesting; you'd drop Bentancur before PEH?
I agree we need to get YB into the team somehow..

Unless we're planning to go 4-3-3, we have to drop someone to make room for Yves. It's a very difficult decision like I said, and that's what Conte makes the big bucks for. Anyway, once the fixtures start piling up, I'm hoping everyone will get plenty of minutes and that regular rotation (aka using the whole squad) gives us longevity for this long season.
I'd like to see Conte bring Bissouma on for PEH soon. Just to judge his leadership qualities. Benta is a baller with good moves but not so much an influence dictating play and asserting control in the midfield.

There are periods where the players will only have 2 days of rest, I trust the squad that Paratici and Conte have shaped and it seemed like Conte had faith in Skipp. I don't think sports science and simple physiology are foreign concepts to someone who makes the players run 50 laps after a pre-season friendly. He's definitely taking advantage of the 5-sub rule now and I'm sure Conte is incentivizing the World Cup as extra motivation to our players.no offence it sounds like you are suggesting to rotate for the sake of it. The players that warrant a start due to training and tactics start for me.
this is not FM. Conte is real. Hindsight and theories are all good for forums.
Hmmm PEH passing isn't consistently good enough to make up for what Bentancur brings. I'd worry that a midfield of Bissouma and PEH would be too stodgy with a lack of accurate vertical passes along with a much slower pace of passing.Mostly based on current form but it's not like I get to watch the players every day in training. Like I said, very difficult decisions for the manager especially once Skipp is in contention too. It could be that Bissouma and PEH would be too unbalanced but Bentancur can struggle a bit against packed opposition midfields. It was hard for them to pick out a free man, even Kane was struggling with his playmaking when dropping slightly deeper. We basically need someone like Modric to pair with PEH/Bentancur/Bissouma, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.Hmmm PEH passing isn't consistently good enough to make up for what Bentancur brings. Bentancur often plays first time which helps massively in our quick counter attacks. PEH is much less willing to do so. He'll often control and then pass. He does have a decent range and can hit some beautiful passes but they are very sometimeish he's much more likely to mibrick or over hit the pass instead.
I'd like to see Bissouma as well, but for PEH. He's more press resistant and much better moving with the ball. I'm not convinced his passing selection is any better but I just worry losing Bentancur would damage the flow of our play much more than we'd gain. [emoji848]

PEH has to be one of the most frustrating players when it comes to passing. He'll mess up a simple 10 yard pass and then 30 seconds later play a 40 yard ball onto the toe of one of our players in a packed penalty box.Hmmm PEH passing isn't consistently good enough to make up for what Bentancur brings. The interesting thing is that it was PEH that fed Kane through for the 1:1 he should have equalised from...I take your overall point though. I guess it depends on the opposition and what is needed from CM. Good to have options, eh
I often find it strange how underrated Hojbjerg is on here.I think that's an issue with peh, when something comes off for him he thinks he's a world beater and gets ability and ambition confused.
