And we are desperate
Not really, the only injuries are Davies (1 week), Dele (4 weeks) and Kane (4 weeks) but he's the right signing nonetheless.
And we are desperate
Got Jordy Clasie written all over him
Just watched the YouTube highlights
Not for me.. looks like a retired pro who you'd say 'He's still got it'' when spraying passes about without breaking a sweat. Seems to have a nice touch and decent shot but slow as f**k, and that's in the French league!!
Not committing to anything until we know what Rabiot wants?
I think the desperation probably comes more from the fact that Dembele has gone and it appears that Wanyama may never be the same again. Not really, the only injuries are Davies (1 week), Dele (4 weeks) and Kane (4 weeks) but he's the right signing nonetheless.
with Directors of football I tend to read it the other way - DoF & manager talk about type of players, DoF goes away and brings back a list of achievable / desirable players and the manager gives feedback / prioritises. In this instance a player popped up so I imagine we started the ball rolling with the players agent while discussing with Poch or more likely this is just paper talk and we shouldn't believe it.I thought the normal scenario was that Manager and the Directors have some discussions and the Manager would put forward some suggestions ahead of a transfer window, otherwise they are wasting everyone's time by discussing possible transfers that Poch doesn't even want.
Unless he is just one of many players the club get offered and they thought 'Yeah, he looks alright and its a cheap deal, what about him Poch?' and he just said no thanks and it's just been blown up a bit by the Twitter poster above.
