( . Y . ) Tottenham v Chelsea | OMT ( . Y . )

Why have we got three straight Sunday games, I fudging well hate them?

Me to, missed todays game because you know I have a family and when the are family get togethers in the summer like normal people have it is hard to get out of. Next sunday am taking the lad to a tennis tournament he is in.

Get back to saturday 3pm kick off please, thing is we will get kicked out of champs league and into Europa so will have enough sunday games after xmas anyway.

Not sure should I watch match of the day later?

Lost to a Chelsea side w/o Hazard, Costa, Fabregas, Cahill, Matic...
Lost again on Wembley...
Conceded 2 goals from 2 shots on target...

Tried to change things with the subs of Sissoko, who made only two actions - lost the ball and elbowed Alonso, and Janssen, who even didn't touch the ball, because of the time.
2nd half performance was utter pathetic: hundreds of crosses and backward passes. Dead wings in attacking third (Davies and Trippier were at least one level below usual Rose/Walker combo).
Wanyama, Dier and Alli had an awful game.
Kane was again very unlucky not to score and by far our best player in 1st half.

Levy needs to invest asap to increase squad depth or we possibly won't finish in top-4.

Lloris neeeded to be calm throws early to counter. Wanyama did not check his shoulder basic stuff . Poor keeping near post 3 mistakes. Still think we will be just fine at Wembley this season
yes, i think against other teams we should win - can only see l'arse, manure, Emirates Marketing Project being the tough ones and (insert) a team we never expected to do well

We looked in control most of the game, created a lot of opportunities in the last ten mins of the first half, and started the second half quite well as well. I thought we grew a bit too slow in our attacking in the second half, we were too slow on the ball, didn't try the risky offensive pass, passed it sideways. Wanyama, sadly, looked off the pace from the start, I was surprised to see Dier get subbed ahead of him. Chelsea didn't really threaten us until the last ten minutes of the game. I thought to myself when we got the equalizer that we must really watch our back not to concede a second, seeing as we'd probably play even more offensively. Still, bad mistake by Wanyama and a howler by Lloris cost us.

Overall a decent game by our lads, we're a bit unfortunate, I think. Let the media have their Wembley hoodoo flimflam. We're up against Burnley next, and we're going to win. And Kane will score.

Overall a good performance from us and margins going against us to see us lose. Terrible way to lose.

Wonder if Winks is way of form or what. Could have used his passing tempo for this. Dier, Wanyama and Dembele gets slow and defensive way too often.

Poor from Wanyama and Lloris for their winner. Poor from Wanyama most of the game, guess he's not quite up to speed after his injury.

I think he panics. His throw to Wanyama was a case in point. His keeping for their first was like the error he made in the semi last season too.

We are setting a very high bar here. He is not in the top class of keepers in the world but he is definitely in the group below. He'd be a very difficult player to improve upon.

No point complaining about how the opposition set out, especially when theyre away. Soaking up the pressure and being clinical on the counter is what the good teams do! This was such a massive chance to beat them what with the injuries, player and manager discontent and yet we still blew it.

Oh, I'm not complaining about that, Chelski played smart, hats off to Conte for his tactics, which were spot on. But they still only had two shots on target, to our, what was it, 10? We dominated them and created the most chances, just weren't clinical enough.

Thoroughly disappointed with that.....

Wanyama was poor all game, lloris was rubbish and Chelsea parked the bus.

However, I think we played well in General - but we just can't beat that lot at Wembley :-(.

Wow! Some real knee-jerk reactions

Lost to a Chelsea side w/o Hazard, Costa, Fabregas, Cahill, Matic...

Matic doesnt play for them any more, and arguably Costa doesnt either (that's why Morata has come in). So in the same way, they were also missing Lampard and Drogba

I'd take restricting the opposition to two shots on target in any game

Tried to change things with the subs of Sissoko...and Janssen...

Janssen was only brought on because Trippier was injured, rather than an attempt to change the game

We can have no excuses...the best teams in Europe can adapt to all kinds of tactics like parking the bus and negative formations and still find the way to win...

We can't...and unless we learn and get better with our movement and passing then this group of players will never be considered a great side...we won't win any trophies.

I rate poch but it was obvious from a few minutes in that Wanyama wasn't at the races. Poor control and passing...winks should have replaced him.

I'm bitterly disappointed with how things went but more disappointed with the mentality of some of our players and understanding the realisation that this team may never achieve anything and slowly break up...

We need the win at Wembley soon to start shutting the media up...

But if my names Sean Dyche...I know exactly how to set up next week.

Sorry if this sounds overly negative...and it's not good posting while my emotions aren't in check yet...

But I'm very fecked off with our team and poch in particular for not subbing victor off.

I'd go further than that. He'd be impossible to improve upon until we could pay £200k per week which anyone better would want, and there's only a low to mid single digit number of keepers who are in that category anyway

We could do what we have done elsewhere, sign a young player with promise and hope that they become top class but I do not see any other way.

Dembele was a beast throughout
Eriksen was up to the physicality
Kane was unlucky, took a fair share of ankle-taps
alder andd verts were pretty solid, great understanding between both

i am suspecting that wanyama and trippier wasn't fully fit/match ready...

...perhaps poch is testing the first eleven for this season. sadly it shows that our wingbacks aren't ready and we need some speed somewhere.

I was sat in the upper tier and just before Alonso went to hit the fre kick I said Hugo had left a massive gap to aim at on the side it went in. Generally he looked nervy today.

He stood where every keeper would. The wall is there to deal with the near post but Alonso got the kick spot on, the dip was perfect.

Watching the replay of Alonso's fk goal you have to question Lloris' starting position. He is comfortably a yard nearer to the far post, totally inviting an attempt at the near side. When you do that you have to be able to get there.

It's not even as if the ball just tucked inside the post either, it's a foot inside, so I have no doubt he would have at least gotten something on it because as it is he gets his hand to within a foot or so of the ball as it passes him into the net.

So, not saying he would definitely have got enough on it to push it the other side of the post but he'd certainly have stood a better chance if his starting position had been that bit more central in the first place.
