Wilson Odobert

If Solanke is injured than Lankshear can come in. Richarlison has been injured for about 40% of his time at Spurs it is nothing new and probably the reason why the club brought in Solanke to replace him as first choice.

Also not convinced that Wilson is really much better than our other wide players at beating his opponent one on one: Hr has lots of potential but is far from being a first choose player for Spurs. As I said before, we have lost two subs.

Odobert started two of the three league games he was eligible to play (coming off the bench in the third) and also started the cup game - not sure he's a 'sub'

It's a bit odd that people attribute a label on a player's status on the squad that actively goes against the evidence (albeit limited) as if they have an inside line on Ange's inner thoughts / choices made. It's semantics but any player who is on the bench at anytime is called a sub so Finney is technically right....If people want to pick a fixed position based on nothing and stick by it then that's fair enough I guess. It must be lovely to having warm feelings about the likes of Lankshear or others who haven't played a single minute of men's football, if that's where our hopes lie for the season it speaks volumes.

To me having Odobert and Richy out leaves us pretty much where we were last season in terms of the front line, both start when fit and both are potentially huge options to change the game, the stance of belittling their impact is a curious one.

Losing Gil / Solomon hasn't made much of a difference and Son isn't going to become a year younger again anytime soon. It's an odd time for the squad, whilst endeavoring to mainly be positive about where we're at losing a 1st team player like Wilson isn't ideal as a viable alternative to mixing things up has gone for now at least.
