Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

We got the job done. Credit to all involved.

But getting back in CL qualification contention isn’t something to be excited about, it’s something to expect.

A season in which we don’t qualify for the CL, is a failure.

Think we need to be in Europe

- CL would be the objective
- Other European competition could be acceptable depending on context (e.g. season where we have major injuries, some other caveat)

Failure to qualify for Europe in anyway is probably a hard line at this point.

Strange how we get embarrassed by Wolves and you're nowhere to be seen but as soon as we beat an average team you reappear with sarcastic comments, could be just a coincidence I guess.

I have to admit, I thought we played really well last night, looked solid and disciplined. Just a shame it come 18 months too late.

And for the record I really wanted it to work out for Ange and despite all the criticism he gets I still actually quite like him. If he had done what he did last night 18 months ago I think he would still be in with a chance of keeping his job but I feel he's left it too late. The change of approach shouldve happened a long time ago and it was obvious for everyone to see
Which ‘average team’ did we beat?

This not really about having a massive discussion.
Just trying to understand your point about hate.
It’s perfectly simple spurs fans can enjoy the win and still discuss on the suitability of our manager.

I don’t think there is any hate if Ange, just a feeling he is not a good enough manager for the club and that’s a valid opinion

My point was very simple. On a rare night of joy, someone told someone else they would hold their negative opinions in. Why say it? Why not just do it?

That’s why I didn’t say anything as I’m still disappointed with our season. One result doesn’t change my opinion. So like I said it’s difficult to get excited about it

Fair enough.
I'd invite you to go short-focus and join us in the ray of sunshine currently beaming down in one bvery strong yet narrow funnel from a sky which has been too dark this season...

Ill give you a clue, they have an average finish of 8th in the last 10 years in a league weaker than the Premier league.

Dear GHod can you PLEASE PLEASE just let it go? Either enjoy the fudging moment or don't, but I beg you, IF you want to see the dark lining to a silver cloud, could you at least give it another few days and let all the rest of us dellusional and annoyingly 'positive' clams enjoy something of a free hit for a little bit?

Whos seeing the dark side sausage? I originally replied to a comment from Tommy and have actually said I was impressed with how we played, hopefully it continues.

I may not be as happy clappy as you with how things are at that moment with our club but my son and I certainly enjoyed last night.

Also if some posts from a stranger on a forum stops you from enjoying a spurs win,I'd say you probably need to grow a set of plums chief. I'll send you some flowers as a way of an apology if that makes you feel better?

'Sausage'? 'Chief'? 'Plums'? Hahahaha...but you're absolutely right, you're not worth the time.

Moments worth celebrating are so fleeting in football, I cannot understand why anyone doesn’t just hand themselves over when something does go right. We haven’t achieved anything and we may not — all the more reason to enjoy this moment of positivity.

Worry about tactics and press conferences another day.

Every goal is worth celebrating. Every win is worth celebrating. Everything your team does well deserves celebrating.
