Come to think of it, that back 4 and keeper that started yesterday will not be challenging for top 4 anytime soon.Is it 11th place level good?

Suffice to say I am confident we will finish higher than 11th, as to how high remains to be seen.
So, if you were in charge, would you sack Ange now?

Whether we finish 5th or 11th, in terms of sporting achievement, does it really matter?I don't think it's top 4 level, i agree. But is it 11th level?
Well we are not going to get better when we have an 18 year old midfielder playing as central defender.I'll answer this in two ways:
Scenario 1) if i was am ambitious owner i'd almost certainly not have hired him in the first place as i'd have aimed higher. However, let's say i had hired him AND was ambitious i'd likely have saw how we finished 5th from being in a good position to get 4th but had fallen away badly and would have backed him more last summer. If i had done that, then he'd be in last chance saloon if Ange was still performing like he is now. As in, if no upturn in results by end of February then i'd be thinking of sacking him (and i wouldn't necessarily buy big in January as i'd have backed him last summer so would want to see the fruits of that labour first)
Scenario 2) In the current situation i think the owners would want to sack Ange because we are getting progressively worse in the 'big games' and also against the 'middle team' games. I'd have less and less to hang my faith on: very little tactical chess in said big games when you're up against opponents with similar or more resources. Under previous managers you saw at least some times when it would be a game of chess and we'd make the sum of our parts greater than the individuals, whereas this seems an alien concept now. However, i don';t think the owners can stomach doing that because it would just expose them more than ever: how they got to hire Ange in the first place (i'm sure he wasn't even their 2nd choice) and how they didn't really back him in the summer when the chips were down (probably, a lack of faith) and then the questions of their football knowledge/priorities open for discussion again...
Any other scenario, i think Ange would be a few games from being gone. He's performing less well than Nuno given Nuno had far less time
Don’t think any favs are happy with conceding sixI was actually relatively happy with the first 30 mins yesterday - it showed progress.
And when we got to 2-1, even moreso.
We were playing the best team in the league with a depleted squad. The small tweak made (Biss sweeping - just like against Man U) was doing a good job in horrendous circumstances.
And actually, yes, I would have taken a 2-1 or 3-1 defeat that was underpinned by a performance and tactical set up that sought to nulify the opposition and create our own chances. That would have been a fair result, and had in it echoes of small margins away from a draw or win.
Instead.......we conceded SIX goals at home.
Some fans seem to be happy with that.!![]()

Because it’s unlikely to be seen much unless we get the plague … and that’s the kickerCome to think of it, that back 4 and keeper that started yesterday will not be challenging for top 4 anytime soon.
The perfect fit at the time from where he was in his development and from where we were. And you know in time it might be seen that Ange was the right fit for the reset we needed after Conte. Whatever happens, after Ange I don’t think we’ll need to tear it up and start from scratch again. Hopefully!Underlines again how good Poch was for us.
For me, no.Suffice to say I am confident we will finish higher than 11th, as to how high remains to be seen.

Blindly following an ideology that conceded more goals than you score on a consistent basis is paramount to the same thing.Don’t think any favs are happy with conceding six
Haven’t seen of heard one
But I have heard man claim we fax lots if options to do things differently
Even gad a nate claim that despite paying £100 for his ticket he would have been fine with a team of kids…
Always after the game
I can't see him going till we are out off the cups at the earliest, so he's going to have time to turn it round, more so than most other managers under Levy. For me, no.
But it's thin ice time.
I said I'd hold off until the Xmas period before forming an opinion.
The Man U interview changed that - I'm now no longer brought in to his ability to manage.
But I am open minded to my mind being changed by his actions.
If we stay where we are in the lge, I agree.I can't see him going till we are out off the cups at the earliest, so he's going to have time to turn it round, more so than most other managers under Levy.

Actually, it perfectly underpins all of my points about game management and Ange's tactics being the footballing equivalent of roulette.I would agree, unfortunately we have a gd of plus 14 so that's not really as clever a reply as you think it is.
I can't see the trigger being pulled now, politics at the club will make sure the results/zero chance of winning anything/getting CL this season so Levy can just point to that when the heat comes. If we stay where we are in the lge, I agree.
If we lose to Forest and Saudi Sportswashing Machine, I think that conversation changes.

....we've lost more league games than we've won....True
Glad it’s not a consistent basis
Yet…Actually, it perfectly underpins all of my points about game management and Ange's tactics being the footballing equivalent of roulette.
Everyone knows we can score against anyone - we put three past the lge leaders yesterday.
We're actually in good positions for both goals scored and against. Yet.....
And…....we've lost more league games than we've won....
