Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I would. I'd take that right now. It would be the best season we'd had for a decade and more.
I'm more into the consistency of results and an 8th place finishes says to me that we are pretty brick tbh. Even winning the CC wouldn't mask that for me, we would have failed in the main competition pretty miserably. All imo of course

With EL this season and the opportunity to give game time to more of the squad we really should be in a position to have our 'patched up' teams looking comfortable in how they are supposed to be playing, yet here we are nearly 1.5 years in and the first XI are still not at that point let alone the rotational players. Sorry but this is only going one way and it's all on the managers shoulders thus far

After 18 months would expect to start to see improvements, that the players know the system and are comfortable in it. Unfortunately seeing the exact opposite, we're going backwards. It looks like the players have no confidence in the system, Ange, or each other. Unless there is a very quick improvement I can't see him lasting to the end of the season.

His refusal to be pragmatic at any time means he'll never get close to what he needs to do. There's still huge deficiencies in this squad , but constantly refusing to pick certain players/ always picking players that simply aren't good enough isn't going to change and for that reason we need someone else.

Also playing Johnson on the left with that line up is bonkers.

I'd say that's probably my "he's done". It's not because of a single result or a poor run of results. He just lacks something in his management that means he'll never succeed in the PL (unless he gets City investment).

I really enjoyed the initial period when he joined, but it was stark contrast to the depressing football Mourinho and Conte had been serving up so anything would've been better

But we should be seeing progress by now, but we're going backwards. We seem so easy to play against, any pressure we fold like a cheap deck chair.

I don't like him not having his own coaching staff either to be honest. Need a whole team signing off the same hymn sheep with consistency.

GHod that was an atrocious performance

I think Ange is a dead man walking. Its not just poor results, It's the terrible performances as well.

If (when) we lose our next 2 games in similar fashion I think he's done.

I keep thinking about Phil Brown and Hull City's results when they got promoted in2008 and nobody had worked them out...
