So another striker we've brought in bites the dust. We haven't signed a striker that have succeeded for us since ... anyone knows? Adebayor? I know "succeed" is a bit of a vague term here, but at least he scored a fair bunch of goals for us.

The last unquestionable successes were Berbatov in 2006 and Keane in 2002 (classing vdV in 2010 a forward but not a striker).
I think that Crouch and Adebayor have to be considered successes, even if they were not to everyone's taste
Rejected a loan to Brighton for this?
Either his agent fudged this up for him or he didn't fancy his own ability to score goals in a tough league for a team that was gonna have very little of the ball.
We all know he can score goals in the dutch league and I'm sure it will be the same in the Turkish League. Hopefully he can do enough that we get a decent price for him next summer. He won't be able to showcase his talents in the world cup as Holland are an outside chance to make even the play offs.
Anyway enjoy linking up with Soldado.
Crouch scored 12 in 73, while Ade was good on his loan season (17 in 33) but not once he had signed (18 in 59).
I was just about to say the same. That's not a happy pic
