Not sure we'll see him in a Spurs shirt again -- we signed him on the basis of his performances in a foreign league, so even if he plays well in Turkey, what does it show us for how well he might do for Spurs again? A real shame we couldn't get him to go to Brighton imo.

There's good number of former top players on their way down in the Turkish league. He should at least outperform them.

He's teammates with Soldado, Valbuena and Van Persie (currently injured)

I hope he has an amazing season over there. If he scores a shed load of goals including in the Europa he may earn himself a second chance. As someone pointed out the likes of Salah and De Bryne were kicked out of this league but look at them now
