Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

But RDM was not concentrating on the premierleague, he was playing Champions League midweek and Fa Cup at the Weekend.

Fair enough, but to actually have worst stats than AVB who everyone has put the blame on for singlehandly turning Cheat$ki's season into a disaster? Especially when you factor in the new manager bump?

When RDM tood charge, they had lost 3-1 at Napoli. And Abramovitch only wants to win the CL, thats his dream/priority. RDM took charge and change that with 4-1 win against Napoli.

When you play Barcelona twice and beat them, the "small" premierleague games are not important. At Liverpool, they played Turnbull in goal, he made mistakes. At Arsenal, they made changes, were very tired and still managed a point.

He got them to the CL final, won the fa cup, so they had to "forget" about one competition.

I'd be sad if Liverpool got AVB if we weren't intending to keep Harry. He'll do very well for them and would do well for us I reckon.

I really hope they keep Di Matteo. I have absolutely no doubt that they'll be in the same situation again. I don't believe he has the quality to get them going again next season. He has done very well to win an FA Cup and Champions League but I think a lot of it is down to the big players running the show again.

I also believe AVB will be a brilliant manager soon. Liverpool is probably the wrong job for him though.

Droghba has kept Di Matteo in the games in crucial times, e.g. his goal against us.

In reality Chelsea are just being ultra-defensive swamping the pitch with midfielders and relying on the workrate of Essien, Mikel and Meireles.

Complete waste of the talents of e.g. Mata.

haha just like Chelsea was.....AVB needs to think seriously about his next career move otherwise his reputation will quickly go up in smoke. Liverpool is not the next job for him, stay away mate

Liverpool is not the next job for anyone .. unless they just want a stupid payday, certainly not anyone trying to build a reputation anyway.

You know what will happen.

They will either get Rafa back and all Liverscum fans suck his **** OR they will bring someone in and the fans will continue to sing for Benny fudging Hill.

or KKK back

Got to chuckle at Gerrard's predicament. He's had an injury blighted season and has now got to lead England (with JT and Hodgson on his back), and then a gracelessly declining rudderless LFC into next season.

Good luck with that.

Gerrard is an idiot scouser, 4 years ago, at his prime he should have looked at some of the offers made (I believe there were some European clubs sniffing around), moved and improved his game/experience and if wanted, come back to Pool for the swansong of his career. Instead he has run himself into the ground trying to carry a mostly mediocre side with joke management and fans.

No win situation. A lot of managers who would have jumped at this job a few years back will decline it now.

Poisoned culture with current group. Full of declining assets like Carragher, Gerrard, Kuyt, Bellamy, or poorly chosen ones who will struggle to meet(if ever) expectations - Downing, Henderson, Carroll. Suarez is an underachieving, recurring calamity who needs to be dealt, but will have to be kept since a sale this summer would produce a huge financial loss.

Fans on the brink of losing it. Again. It'll be worse than ever this time. A no win situation for any manager, especially one of some note and achievement, whose arrival would only stoke expectations.

This is not what an overachieving Alan Pardew should take on, not when his image has been nicely rehabilitated and his club regaining much public approval. This is not a situation for AVB either. Absolute land mine that will take out the undercarriage of his career. This is not what Roberto Martinez needs, either. A Stoke, West Ham, West Brom type situation would suit him. Maybe Villa, too, though there's quicksand all around that dugout as well.

O'Neill it will be. He won't cost the moon, because he's anxious to restore himself to the big time. He's has a decent enough profile to satisfy the demands of hard-core Kop critics, receive instant love and calls for patience from their abundant Irish contingent, and get most of the players on-side with him in the early going.

Since Liverpool's become a long-term restoration project, it's his perfect entry point. He resuscitated Sunderland sufficiently to let fans know he can work short term relief with assets at hand and carry enough weight to attract useful additions. He's also current to the Premier League, where a newly-arrived continental manager would require a period of familiarization.

Yet, he's also suitably bereft of trophies, big-time success and accolades for spectacular, stylish play so as not to create concerns with potential top-4 rivals(us) that Liverpool will suddenly become the go-to transfer point for young stars.

O'Rafa.

All in favour?

Yet we give players stick for not sticking with clubs and for only being interested in money etc..... see modric for example

Mate, if you read my posts, you would realize I seperate my fan views from my understanding of careers/business

- I have no inherant hate for Keane/Berbs based on their moves, and would even take Berbs back on the cheap
- Judas I despise for obvious reasons, I also despise Carrick as he always has some brick to say to us, when unlike the other 3, we made him.
- If Modric/Bale move on to a Real/Barca type club where medals are involved (for the right price) I would not like it, but I won't hate them either. If as example Modric went to Cheat$ki (for the football) then I'd say his a mercenary prick.

Gerrard more than anyone else must have been painfully aware, Pool of the last 4 years was barely challenging for a Europa spot, far less real trophies.
