Was listening to Talksport today and they were chatting about the demise of Andy Carroll. It made me think: Which strikers have gone to Liverpool and flourished? Fowler and Owen were youth products if I'm not mistaken.
Torres was also brilliant for a season - though his poor form had actually started whilst at Anfield. Suarez has done well.
On the other hand, Carroll, Keane, Crouch all struggled at Liverpool straight after coming from in off really hot form.
Collymore? Heskey?
It's a graveyard for strikers.
Oh, and apparantly they should be 4th not 7th and would be if they had cracked their goalscoring problem, according to one caller! That famous scouse wit, eh?
I think they have a point. If they had had a striker on-form getting 20 goals they would be right up there. Their top scorers have very few goals. But we all know Fowler ain't there any more. Nor Rush. Nor Owen. Nor Torres. Nor Aldridge. Shame

If all our corners beat the first man we will have scored 100 goals.
If and buts do not win ya games. Its like saying we will have won the league if we had better players. Er isnt thats the point? to see who is the best team?
Very true, but fudge it. I love stats.
Now below Everton.
This is Shamfield!
But they have a cup though, thats all that matters
and a new shirt deal
Do they still think 4th is on????
no the title
To be fair, I seem to remember being over the moon with winning the Carling Cup in '07 despite having a brick year in the league, and I'm pretty sure many on here shared my sentiments.
2008 you mean. Some Spurs fans are strange. Just because we are fighting for CL place now, suddenly they think winning CC in 2008 and 1999 means nothing for us. They are our only trophies for the last 21 years ! Teams like Arsenal and Saudi Sportswashing Machine would do everything just to win a trophy now ! Winning any Cup will always be important for me as a Spurs fan. You just can't explain in words that feeling after winning the CC in 2008. For me, that was more satisfying than playing in CL.
