U23s, Academy and Loanees

U21's

But we don't seem to do that. Not sure who the last first team player coming back from injury played in a youth game.

But I hope lwb plays. I don't want to see him in limbo between the U21s and first team
Might have been others but I remember Lucas playing.

 
I always think we miss a trick in this competition by not playing a couple of players with first experience, not to win the trophy simply to help the academy players. Many of our academy players have not played against mens teams and although it's all part of their education they nearly always fail to get beyond the preliminary stage.
I've seen a few of these games and we are usually the better team in terms of technique but we struggle against experience and physicality.

Said the should either split laegue 2 into a north and south and add prem u21s teams in. Or mix them in with the national. They'd be unable to be promoted but would bring a bit more attention to those games and give the players valuable experience.
