U23s, Academy and Loanees

Are you 13 years old?

The saints?
Do you mean Southampton

Jesus fudge the is not enough alcohol produced to wipe from my mind the nonsense I have just read.

You know? Roger Moore.

Guilty as charged, always called them that. I do remember Hojbjerg and Ward-Prowse playing against us last time I was there.

U18 at Grimsby tonight in rescheduled FA Youth Cup, 19:00 live on SPURSPLAY.

Not yet showing on the schedule, but mentioned in commentary of U21 games.

The schedule info is so poor, it even has the audio coverage on Thursday's UEFA game commencing after the game completes.

NAFF !

17 minutes in and some commentary arrives - just in time for us to hit the post and the bar within 5 seconds.

Finished with 10 men - cramping methinks.

Through to next round.

Their 3rd in stoppage time was a real yes/no - rinse and repeat job.
It was an interesting watch, the U18s GRIMS v U18s TOTs

First half we were entirely camped in their half, popping it around nicely, loads of triangles, tiring them out, getting shots away. Williams-Barnett was clearly the best player out there, better than Olusesi. Tynan Thomson also caught the eye with incredible jinky stop-start runs on the left. I actually thought Miracle Adewole was a bit disappointing on the right wing, but he went to right back and did some really good defending in the 115th minute, chapeau.

Watching Spurs start to sit back and back and suffer under the high bombs from Grimsby, it made me think of Ange. There is a reason Ange hates it when teams try to 'see the game out' like that. Spurs definitely stopped pushing forwards and started to shrink back and back until it felt inevitable Grimsby would score. I think there is a middle ground though i.e. a team should mentally continue to push forwards and keep going for it, but it doesn't mean the full backs should push alllll the way up i.e. Spurs should mentally keep pushing forwards and going for goals, but not at the expense of leaving ourselves open

I thought it was a good game and agree with your summary, Adewole did very well at fullback showed real determination. Williams-Barnett did stand out from the pack with the tricky Thompson.
