U23s, Academy and Loanees

Lankshear and Hall, together with Donley look really promising. Here's hoping they get some chances and crack into the squad. I bet if Lankshear was in the Brighton academy he'd be getting games and scoring a few goals and have a £60m price tag slapped on him a la Ferguson.

Looks like finishing 2nd in the group gave us a harder opponent in Italy instead of Poland. Who knows though, Maybe playing 3 tough group games will have prepared these boy well for the knockout stages

Well done to the U21. I watched the highlights and Sunderland were a bit unlucky with their finishing. It was hearts in mouth time. Glad to see they won it. How old is Lankshear?

Edit. Checked https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Lankshear. You are kidding. He is 19 and also came from Arsenal. Hmmm reminds me of another lanky Spurs forward.

Yeah some
It was a young side
And they didn’t play the more senior ones who had been on loan either

Yeah, really impressive. Quite a few who could have been involved more, but out on loan or involved with the first team.

Will be very interesting to see what happens over the summer now with some of these players. Think we'll see quite a few loan deals. As you say young team, a lot of them getting to the age where first team football would do them well and the path to regular starts for us doesn't look easy.

Hopefully the good results from the u21 team will make for more interest and better loan deals for some of those going out on loan.
