I always liked the look of this lad in the U21s. He was the heartbeat of the team and could touch the ball in centre mid up to 100 times. After dragging Donny Rovers from relegation places into the playoffs I thought Ange might have a proper look at him in pre-season. He didn't even take him on tour. I guess he'll always be that player that pulled the first team shirt on once in the Leeds end of season game. Ironically, that was at left back.
He's a very good footballer at that level and added stability and physicality to midfield. Over the years we have a few such players in that midfield role who aren't quite good enough for PL but help in the development of others. The current U21 team are coming to term with the step up from U18 and it will take this season to see how they progress, the current team would benefit from him being there with them.
