In much the same way that I think it would suit Dembele to go to Serie A, I think it would suit Modric as well.
Older players are really looked after well there, and the league is forgiving on tired legs.

Looked good when I've seen him (which isn't a lot), not sure if he'd actually prefer to join Everton though if they've helped rebuild his confidence and career. I don't think there's a guaranteed price or anything like that.

I think Pochettino said that the chief scout was at Liverpool v Everton, and that there was going to be a surprise in January. The story, of my memory serves me correctly, was about Liverpool supporters celebrating Arsenal’s third goal against us. I think Pochettino was talking up how strong we are as a team that opposition fans now revel in our defeats, as they see us as a true rival at the top.
