PSG DENY DE JONG REPORTS
Paris Saint-Germain have denied reports suggesting the club are set to spend €75million to bring Ajax midfielder and
Barcelona transfer target Frenkie de Jong to the Parc des Princes in January.
The Ligue 1 leaders published a statement to discredit the claims in L'Equipe: "There are many examples of unbalanced treatment whose objective is only to spread a harmful atmosphere.
"Faced with the disinformation orchestrated by L'Equipe and their tireless attempt to undermine our image, PSG, the most popular and successful club in France, reaffirms its desire to move forward with dialogue only in good faith."
BARCA DESPERATE FOR KANE
Barcelona are hellbent on landing £200m-rated Harry Kane next summer, according to the Star on Sunday.
With current Nou Camp hitman Luis Suarez nearing 32 and struggling with long-term knee problems, the Spanish giants’ hunt for a world-class replacement has begun.
And Tottenham star Kane, who faces Barcelona in the Champions League this Tuesday, is first choice on their shortlist.
Spurs are desperate to keep the England skipper ahead of moving to the new White Hart Lane but the severe delays in finishing their stadium – and inevitable spiralling costs as a result – leave them vulnerable to any bid of £150m-plus for Kane.
SPURS INTERESTED IN YOUNGSTER
Tottenham are interested in signing Netherlands midfielder Tonny Vilhena, according to reports in Italy.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with Roma and Corriere dello Sport say the Serie A side are preparing a swap deal which would send Rick Karsdorp back to Feyenoord.
But CalcioMercato say Spurs are ready to offer competition for his signature after monitoring the box-to-box midfielder throughout the Eredivisie campaign.
The combative Vilhena has already won 15 caps for the Netherlands during their recent resurgence and is thought to be considered a possible replacement for Moussa Dembele.
Dembele looks set to leave Spurs with his contract due to expire at the end of the season, and Vilhena could be high on Pochettino's list of midfield targets.
Well this ones new, interesting sort of target - anyone know anything about him?
