Transfer Tittle-Tattle

Mario Lemina looks set to leave Saints. Might sound underwhelming as we’ve just signed Tanguy but he’s a class act and will probs go for 25m.

I doubt we will look at another powerful B2B player now anyway. However, he did cover RB in France also!

As I hold about 500 shares in him on the football index I fudging hope this happens. I will cash out one happy man.

sadly i also think he will do well for them as he is a good player.

Yes, I thought he'd be a good signing for us though not sure we have the cash to spend that much on an out and out CF given the amounts we need to spend elsewhere.

Feels like he could do far better than move to West Ham...!

Gareth Bale's Real Madrid future still uncertain
Gareth Bale’s ongoing transfer uncertainty at Real Madrid took another twist after fans reportedly hurled abuse at the winger as he reported for pre-season duty on Monday.

The Welshman was among the first-team stars to check-in at the club’s state-of-the-art Valdebebas training base, but it seems his return wasn’t welcomed by everyone.

Bale has struggled to win over all of the Madrid support since arriving from Tottenham in 2013 and reports in Spain have claimed that he was subject to various insults as he made his way inside the complex.

Spanish daily AS has reported that shouts of “ungrateful” could be heard from Madrid fans, while the likes of Dani Carvajal were applauded when they arrived.

Juventus 'agree to sell' Joao Cancelo amid transfer interest from Premier League club
Emirates Marketing Project have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Joao Cancelo after reports in Italy claimed that new Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has agreed to sell the full-back.

Having completed the signings of defensive midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid and left-back Angelino from PSV Eindhoven, City manager Pep Guardiola had been hoping the addition of Cancelo to provide competition at right-back would end his business in this transfer window.

The 25-year-old helped Juventus towards the Serie A title last season with a series of impressive performances, and was also part of the Portugal team which won the Nations League last month.

He has also played for Benfica, Valencia and Inter Milan, and is highly-thought of by managers throughout Europe including City boss Guardiola.

Back in for Trippier now?

Tottenham are yet to step up their interest in Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, according to the player's agent.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly eyeing Zaniolo, and hopes to beat Real Madrid , Juventus and Bayern Munich to his signature - if the teenage sensation can be persuaded the quit the Serie A side this summer.

Zaniolo, 20, has emerged as one of Europe's most promising midfielders after arriving at Roma last summer as part of the swap deal that took Radja Nainggolan to Inter Milan.

The Italian outfit expected to be hit with a barrage of offers for Zaniolo, who sprang to prominence with a brilliant Champions League performance against Spanish giants Real Madrid last September.

However the starlet's agent Claudio Vigorelli has given an update on his client's situation and insisted that there have been no offers on the table thus far.

As quoted by Calciomercato , Vigorelli said: "To date, as far as we are concerned, no negotiations are underway with any international or Italian club."

Zaniolo made 35 appearances for Roma during his breakthrough campaign in the Italian capital.

And his representative suggested a move is unlikely this summer as the midfielder wants to continue his current project with Roma.

He added: "We have heard a lot about Zaniolo, Roma and his contract in recent weeks.

"Given the media attention to which Nicolo was subjected at national and international level, it is important to make some clarifications.

"Nicolo is a heritage of Roma who believed in his talent first and foremost.

"This is why it is essential to build together the most suitable path to enhance it and continue the extraordinary growth path also in the next season."

09:15 UPDATE: Wanted - Mario Lemina

Arsenal and Manchester United are prepared to battle it out for Southampton wantaway Mario Lemina.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim the Premier League duo have both lodged official enquiries.

Lemina, 25, didn’t travel with Ralph Hasenhuttl's squad on their pre-season tour of Austria.

It’s claimed Saints are happy to sell the Gabon international and will accept the £15million they paid Juventus two years ago.

Lemina is the second Premier League star that Unai Emery’s Arsenal have enquired about after Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.

Possibly one we might keep an eye on. Had interest in him before he went to SCBC, and while I fully expect us to be looking at bigger and better players I wouldnt be surprised if we kept this as a fall back option, especially at £15m.

He hasnt set the world alight at SCBC but looked very promising before.

£15m seems comfortably within the "worth a punt" territory for any PL team.

Someone like Arsenal, desperate for midfielders, its a no brainer.

He won’t go for 15. He has 3 years left on his contract. He’d be a perfect replacement for Wanyama at some point and give us 5 good quality CMs. As I said above - can also do a job at RB.

Real Madrid boss Zidane green lights one Pochettino request in deal for Spurs ace Eriksen

REAL MADRID boss Zinedine Zidane has given his approval to let Mariano Diaz join Tottenham if it means signing Christian Eriksen.

Real Madrid are keen on bringing in the Dane this summer as their pursuit of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba continues to stall.

Eriksen is thought to be open to a move to the Bernabeu but Spurs are reluctant to let their prized asset leave without a replacement.

Spurs have been chasing deals for Dani Ceballos and Giovani Lo Celso but Mauricio Pochettino also wants a striker.

With Harry Kane set to lead the line again, and Fernando Llorente’s future unclear, the Argentine boss is looking at Diaz.

Spanish publication El Desmarque say Pochettino has requested Diaz be included in any deal involving Eriksen.

However, Spurs face a difficult task in convincing Diaz to leave with the Spaniard’s preference to stay and fight for his place at Real.

“My plan is to continue here, with my team. I want to show what I came here to do,” he said recently.

“I fought hard to get to Real Madrid. I’ve worked really hard and I’ve always wanted this.

“Now I’m here so I’ll do my best to play in the best team in the world.

“[I will start the season] with great enthusiasm. I want to show what I came here to do. This is going to be my year.”

The 25-year-old is in his second spell at Los Blancos having failed to make the grade as a youngster.

Diaz made just eight first-team appearances before joining Lyon in 2017.

It was at the Ligue 1 club he started to make a name for himself, bagging 18 goals in 37 league appearances before he sealed his return to the Spanish capital last summer.

Diaz netted just three La Liga goals last term but Zidane is keen to keep hold of him.

However, the Frenchman realises he may have to give into Tottenham’s demands and allow him to leave if he is to capture Eriksen before the transfer window shuts.

Not really following transfer bits this window. Are we close to signing anyone else yet?

Article about Utd falling to brick, has this near the end:

"An ideal solution remains Christian Eriksen, who could be available for as little at £70-80m - unless Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy demands a premium to sell to a Premier League rival.

The Dane was the standout name on the list of alternatives for Pogba - but Solskjaer’s preference is to keep hold of his star player.

That is also the stance of the club - who insist he is not for sale at any price. "

I do fully believe if Utd do come calling Levy will pull their pants down.

Saw a tweet last night saying PSG were willing to pay €88m for Eriksen as a replacement to Neymar as well.
