Transfer Tittle-Tattle

Indeed. The 'ITK' worship over on SC is laughable. 'No questions to ITKs allowed'. 'No neg repping allowed' etc.

My favourite of this summer so far was Hercules (clearly named due to the strength of his bullsht) saying that Clarke would be coming in and definitely not going back out on loan.

Who was the care in the community case that used to make up little stories about his 'fishing trips'?

Trix?

I'm being lazy and can't be bothered to check their actual positions, but I was under the impression that all 3 of Lo Celso, Ceballos and Olmo all play as an Eriksen-type attacking creative midfielder, usually central too.

Surely we can't be after all three? Keeping options open yes, but if the rumours are to be believed we're close to signing bloody all of them!!

I thought Lo Celso played the Erisken role, Ceballos the Winks one, and Olmo the Son one?

I imagine the last two are at most stories planted to concern Betis

Martin Ødegaard loaned out from Real Madrid to Real Sociedad.
Good move for him. If he continues to progress like he has, I'd take him at Spurs in a year or two. Will be interesting to see how he does in la Liga.

If he continues to progress like this, would Real be willing to sell him, though?

Used to love Buffon, but he’s turned in to a bit of a tit the last couple of years. That’s a joke league contract right there!!! Imagine City giving that contract to Hart last season and having to play him in title deciders?!?

Awful. Should’ve been the entire season with Sneezy not allowed to play any!

Doesn’t reflect well on schzeny does it? Basically says we can stick Dino Zoff in goal for most of our games and it wouldn’t matter! The way Juve are shaping up with their squad the GK area looks like a glaring weakness to me.

I think we should add the loan system to our transfer strategy.

I know Poch probably doesn't like having players that aren't fully bought in or may only being around for one season BUT

1. it is usually easier to get a loan deal done compared to a transfer.
2. Obviously we'd be choosy and there are very good players who have fallen out of favour, their last move hasn't worked out or a young player coming thru who feels their path is blocked eg Malcolm, Kovacic, Cellabos
3. Its like a season trial for us and quite often an option to buy price is never that bad and is fixed so stops any haggling gonads
4. And of course if they're brick we just send them on there way without having a dud we can't get rid of. Eg Jansen GNK etc.

I think its a legitimate way to get the squad stronger and of course if we find a gem could save us £m's

What are some examples of loan deals working well like that for teams in or around the top four in the big leagues? Not trying to be snarky, genuinely wondering.
