What's become abundantly clear this window is that old habits die hard at our football club.
So far, several months of work have accounted to the Kudus and Takai signings, the sale of Sonny and a bunch of loans for our best young guns. In other words, once again so much of the important action will happen in the last 2 weeks of the window.
I know the most important thing is that we improve this squad for the long term, but it does grate on you with this constant lastminute.com behaviour. Personally, I always looks forward to the 1st Sep when I know it is done. I'd happily have the transfer window open from 1-31 July and the 1-7 January and be done with it. I reckon it would amount to the same thing for our club.
So, like everyone else then. What's become abundantly clear this window is that old habits die hard at our football club.

£££ and more £££ when Chelski sell him to some random middle eastern club in a year or three.

Most deals happen towards the end. That's just how it is, unless you are willing to pay WAY over the top.
Yeah, I thought Levy was improving at getting in players earlier but this window has been a step back. What's become abundantly clear this window is that old habits die hard at our football club.

Chelsea are really having a laugh valuing him at 25m, they won't get him for under 60 surely. You can't buy an attacking player for under 60m this summer.
TBF we got Kudus early for quite big money and would've likely had MGW in early too, for an equally big fee, if it wasn't for whatever happened with that release clause.Perhaps, but other clubs dip in and out of the club. We feel like the permanent members.
Be interesting to see how many of the 20 PL clubs do significant business in these last 10 days of the window.
